This weekend Draftstars are hosting a range of different DFS tournaments with their largest NRL tournament being held on the Saturday involving three matches. We have our suggested team below taking into account the Dragons are up against the bottom placed Knights and the Broncos best players are backing up from Origin.

Draftstars NRL Salary Cap: $100,000
Hooker
Mitch Rein ($13,450) St George Illawarra Dragons
Rein played his best match of the season last week against the Storm and capped off his great performance with a try. You will notice a trend of us picking Dragons players this week as they are up against the worst defensive team in the competition and that will give the Dragons players the great opportunity to earn attacking points.
Alternative option: Michael Ennis ($12,300) Cronulla Sharks
The Sharks hooker has dropped in production over the last few weeks but he is due for a good game. Ennis has the capabilities of picking up try assists as he has a great combination with his forward pack.
Halfback
Gareth Widdop ($10,900) St George Illawarra Dragons
The Dragons may have been struggling to score points this year but it should become a lot easier this weekend against the Knights. Gareth Widdop has picked up his production over the last couple of weeks and bagged a try last week.
Centre
Gerald Beale ($6,300) Cronulla Sharks
Beale is at a low price after starting the season coming off the bench, however he has become the starting centre for the Sharks and will play the full 80-minutes on the weekend against the Warriors who have defensive lapses at times.
Ken Maumalo ($5,000) New Zealand Warriors
Maumalo played his first game of the season last week and his solid performance saw him retain his spot. He constantly came in field looking for work and if he can grab some attacking stats he could score very big.
Wing/Fullback
Euan Aitken ($11,550) St George Illawarra
Aitken is one of the best centres in DFS and he is a must have this weekend. The youngster is a workhorse, makes a lot of tackles and should be able to find his way to the try line this weekend against the Knights.
Sosaia Feki ($5,950) Cronulla Sharks
The Sharks winger will return to the line up this weekend after spending a week on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. We are picking him as a cheap player on a strong attacking team to free up space for solid forwards.
Front Row Forward
Russell Packers ($7,200) St George Illawarra Dragons
The big forward was let of the leash in the last two matches as he has begun to include an offload into his arsenal. This will contribute to his score increasing and he should get good minutes this weekend with Tariq Sims unable to play and Tyson Frizell backing up from Origin.
James Graham ($14,100) Canterbury Bulldogs
The Bulldogs forward is a base stat machine and is averaging just under 60-points a game. He is as consistent as they come and will no doubt repeat his efforts this weekend in a big battle with the Broncos.
Second Row Forward
Bodene Thompson ($14,200) New Zealand Warriors
Thompson will play the full 80-minutes against the Sharks this weekend and he is averaging 55 points per game.
Joel Thompson ($10,650) St George Illawarra Dragons
As stated earlier, Sims won’t be playing and Frizell will be backing up for Origin. Thompson already starts but he should be given extra minutes throughout the match and will no doubt pick up some attacking points against the Knights.
