AFL Round 11 Saturday Betting Tips
Port Adelaide vs Richmond
Adelaide Oval, 4.35pm (AEST)
The Tigers are rolling at the moment, having won their last two games on the trot and five of their last six. They are coming off 41 point wins over both the Western Bulldogs in Round 9 and the Brisbane Lions in Round 10 and will be looking to take another big scalp this weekend when the face the top team on the ladder in the Power.
Despite a bunch of injuries and absences for other reasons, the Tigers are getting it done at the moment, and with their recent run of good form, have jumped all the way into fourth place on the ladder. The Tigers got Nick Vlastuin back from injury on Tuesday night and Josh Caddy could potentially return on Saturday although they still await the return of Bachar Houli, Shane Edwards and Dion Prestia.
After a tough loss to the Saints in Round 8, the Power have bounced back to win their last two against the Demons and Bulldogs to keep their spot on top of the ladder. This Saturday will arguably be their biggest measuring stick of the season though. The Power have lost just two games this season, to the two teams sitting in 2nd and 3rd place on the ladder, on Saturday, they play 4th. The Tigers have won their last two against the Power and with the form they are in at the moment, we love their value on Saturday.
Bonus Tip
Dustin Martin is in a rich vein of form at the moment and dominated in the Tigers win over the Bulldogs last week, racking up 26 touches and booting three goals. He has made a habit of accumulating big numbers against the Power over recent years. In eight games against the Power since the start of 2013, Martin averages a ridiculous 30.6 disposals per game and has booted six goals across those games. Has been playing more midfield minutes with a bunch of Tigers mids out, we expect him to have good numbers again on Saturday.

Brisbane vs Western Bulldogs
Gabba, 7.40pm (AEST)
Both the Lions and the Bulldogs will be looking to bounce back from losses to the Tigers and Power respectively when they face off on Saturday night from the Gabba. With their 41 point loss to the Tigers, Brisbane slipped to 3rd on the AFL ladder but they’ll be finally back at the sanctuary that is the Gabba this weekend, where they are still 4-0 this season.
The Bulldogs have been one of the more inconsistent teams in the league this season, securing both massive wins and suffering massive defeats. They were competitive against the Power on Monday night but ultimately went down by 13 points and now sit just outside the top eight.
The Lions start as heavy favourites here and while we think they win at the Gabba, the 15.5 point line looks a little high, especially with some key players out with injury. The last time these two teams met, the Lions won by 18 points and we expect this margin to be around that figure in a pretty high scoring and free flowing game.
