A-League Betting Tips
Adelaide United vs Sydney FC
Thursday 7.30pm (AEST)
Adelaide United have been in fantastic form since the restart and are now right in the mix to make the top six. They were winner’s last time out against Perth (5-3) in an eight goal epic and could’ve actually netted another had Riley McGree taken care of business from the penalty spot.
Sydney FC haven’t quite found their best form since they resumed from the break, winning just one of their four fixtures to date. Despite that, they were recently crowned Premiers and they’re clear favourites to become champions, too.
Sydney are struggling for motivation at the moment and we’ve taken advantage of that a little bit already. We’re keen to continue to oppose them in their remaining regular season games and are more than happy to side with the in-form Reds here.
Western United vs Western Sydney Wanderers
Friday 7:30pm (AEST)
Western United resumed with an important 2-1 win over Melbourne Victory, but weren’t able to back it up against the Jets in their most recent outing. They failed to find the back of the net despite banging in 13 goals from their three previous fixtures. United are now four points behind sixth with three games in hand.
Western Sydney have had a disappointing season and their fate has now just about been sealed. They found themselves in an absolute must-win game last time out against Perth, but weren’t up to the task. The 3-1 loss means they’re now four points behind sixth with just two games to play.
Unlike the Wanderers, Western United’s finals aspirations are still very much in play. They’ve been solid in both games since resuming and were also playing well prior to the break. They’re the clear form team in this matchup and still have everything to play for. Needless to say, we expect them to get the job done at a nice price.
Perth Glory vs Melbourne Victory
Saturday 5pm (AEST)
Perth Glory scored three important points against the Wanderers last time out and remain in the box seat to secure a top six position. It was a necessary bounce back win from Glory after they conceded a whopping five goals to Adelaide in the game prior.
Melbourne Victory are having a season from hell and it certainly hasn’t gotten any better of late. They’re yet to pick up a single point in their three games since resumption and are now a big chance to finish on the bottom.
Perth Glory are by far the better team in this matchup and also still have a lot on the line. Expect them to bring the greater intensity of the two clubs from the outset and to win this comfortably.
