There is a great variety of action in the esports world this Sunday night and into Monday morning! We are back with another slate of best bets for all of the action below.
Esports Betting Tips: Sunday, May 31st
Family Team vs Vikin.gg
ESL One Birmingham 2020: Europe & CIS
Throughout ESL One Birmingham, Vikin.gg have shown just how volatile their performances can be. Although I still believe this team holds a lot of potentials and can be extremely potent even against some of the best teams in the world, their overall showings are far from what can be considered decent. Vikin.gg started their run through the tournament strong, picking up wins against Gambit, Liquid and Natus Vincere, but they slowed down recently losing to Secret, Nigma and Unique. Talking about mediocre results, Team Family (previously Aggressive Mode) won only two games against Unique and Gambit, but lost to Nigma, Liquid, NaVi and Secret, however, they managed to win one map against both Nigma and NaVi, which does indicate this team is not particularly terrible.
The last meeting between Vikin.gg and Team Family came during Cyber.bet Cup: Spring Series - EU, where Vikin.gg came away with a win. That might suggest Vikin.gg are stronger here, but they performed very poorly against Unique on Saturday, so I have no fate in them they can win here. Bet against Viking.gg!
Hellraisers vs Espada
SECTOR: MOSTBET Season 3
Espada started their SECTOR: MOSTBET Season 3 campaign with two straight wins against Pompa and Navi Junior, while Hellraisers picked up two wins against SKADE and Tricked but lost against the mediocre Hard Legion. Although Hellraisers won four out of their last five matches, some of their wins were way too close, especially against mens and FATE. Espada, on the other side, won only two matches out of their last five, but they at least played proper tier-2 teams such as forZe and NaVi Junior, so their results should be valued higher.
Betting on these low-rated online CIS matches is often very risky as you never know what to expect from the teams, however, the odds on Espada are way too high to ignore. While they don't feature any top tier players in their roster, Espada have shown a lot of synergy and a strong map pool which help them come away with the spoils. Value bet on Espada to come out with a win.
Gambit Youngsters vs Complexity
Home Sweet Home Cup 6
Complexity have already won the third and fourth season of Home Sweet Home and will look to continue their run and win the sixth iteration of the tournament as well. Since they clearly a much stronger team compared to other participants, it goes without saying Complexity did not face any issues in their title-winning runs, losing only two opening BO1 matches against SMASH and Sinners. As for their BO3 matches, Complexity did not lose a single one, further proving they're a level above all other teams. Throughout the sixth season of Home Sweet Home Cup, Complexity lost the opening BO1 match against SKADE (14-16), to which they added comfortable BO3 wins against Apeks, SKADE and Endpoint. Complexity also enjoyed a fairly impressive run through the DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 Europe, where they defeated mousesports and MAD Lions while losing only to BIG.
While the Gambit Youngsters have some exciting talent in their starting roster, I can't see them as serious candidates for the title, considering they already lost against Sprout and Hard Legion in a BO3 match. When picking out a match-winner, I would not feel comfortable betting against Complexity who have proven before they are a force to be reckoned and should not struggle too much against Gambit Youngsters here. Bet on Complexity to win this one without dropping a map!
