We are focused in on the DOTA2 ESL One Birmingham this Wednesday night and into Thursday morning! We have three best bets from the key matches overnight below.
Esports Betting Tips: Wednesday, May 27th
PSG.LGD vs Longinus
ESL One Birmingham 2020
It's hard to imagine a match that looks more one-sided than this one and to be fair there are not many teams we could put against Longinus to make their chances of winning slimmer. PSG.LGD will enter this match following a 2-0 win over Aster on day one of ESL One Birmingham and although PSG.LGD had to work hard to walk away with the spoils, we had expected a close match, since Aster historically match up nicely with LGD.
Apart from their win over Aster, PSG.LGD are currently on an eight-game winning streak and are proudly displaying a 16-4 record in their last 20 games. The only teams that managed to defeat them were Royal never Give Up and ViCi Gaming (twice). Longinus, on the other side, got completely stomped by Royal Never Give Up on Tuesday and if that was any indication, they will likely struggle to win a single match throughout the whole tournament.
Betting on PSG.LGD offers little to no value at 1.03, however, a bet on -12.5 kills on the first map is something to pounder. PSG.LGD are well out of Longinus' league and since PSG.LGD will likely look to close out this game fast and move on, we expect them to pick an early-game composition and roll over the underdogs in under 30 minutes.

Royal Never Give Up vs Aster
ESL One Birmingham 2020
Royal Never Give Up picked up an easy win against Longinus on Tuesday and will hope to continue their run against Aster, who have suffered a 0-2 loss to PSG.LGD. Aster's loss to PSG.LGD does not concern me too much, as Aster showed a lot of resistance and at times looked fairly competitive against one of the strongest Chinese Dota2 teams. Having said that, they have shown they still lack the individual quality to consistently compete against the alpha dogs. Nonetheless, Aster won't be afraid to take on RNG this Wednesday, since they already defeated them (2-0) just over a week ago at DPL-CDA Professional League Season 1.
Aster and RNG met five times this year. Their first meeting in February ended with a draw (1-1), while the remaining four matches ended with each team winning two games (all 2-0). Aster won their most recent match against RNG, but they have shown a great deal of inconsistency, which often makes them a hit-or-miss team when facing stronger opposition. RNG should still win this match, but not without dropping a map, so we have to bet on over 2.5 maps here.
OG vs VP.Prodigy
ESL One Birmingham 2020
Despite the return of Topson, OG have found themselves struggling at ESL One Birmingham. The reigning TI champions suffered a reverse sweep against FlyToMoon in their opening match, which does raise a lot of questions. There is no particular played in OG that is to blame for their poor showings. Instead, it's the lack of any consistency from all players, who weren't able to find their groove yet. VP.Prodigy, on the other side showed their worth as they took down HellRaisers in a very dominant fashion. This team has already made their presence known not long ago when they won Epic Prime League Season 1 and made it to the finals of WePlay! Pushka League S1: Division 1, and while they're not nearly as established as OG, nor are VP.Prodigy comparable to OG in terms of individual quality, they're still far more consistent with their performances.
This match will come down to whether VP.Prodigy can upset OG and while I'm not ready to believe VP.Prodigy have the tools needed to defeat OG just yet, I also don't believe OG are capable of coming away with a 2-0 win. If OG won't find the needed stability ahead of this match, they can easily drop one map, while they possess enough quality to not suffer a 0-2 loss. All points towards a close series that are likely to end with all three maps played. Trust VP.Prodigy to keep this one close and force a three-map series!
