It’s been an exciting few weeks in the English Premier League as well as competitions across Europe and the action continues this weekend as we head into Matchday 29 of the EPL.
The week gets underway on Saturday night as Liverpool take on Bournemouth from 11.30pm and as usual, we have a full preview and betting tips for the key games of the week below.
EPL Matchday 29 Betting Tips
Liverpool vs Bournemouth
Saturday, 11.30pm AEDT, Anfield
Have the wheels fallen off at Anfield? After one of the most dominant seasons in European football to date, the Reds have lost three of their last four games. Their first loss came at the hands of Atletico Madrid, leaving them on the brink of being bounced from the Champions League. Just a few days later, their hopes of an undefeated domestic season where eviscerated as they lost 3-0 to Watford on the road in the EPL. Following that, they were bounced from the FA Cup by Chelsea as they lost 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.
They will be desperate to get back on the winners list on the weekend, but now that their undefeated season is done, they might be placing a bit more of their focus on their super important home matchup with Atletico Madrid which will be played on Thursday, the 12th of March.
Regardless, the Reds shouldn’t have much trouble with Bournemouth, who currently sit in 18th place on the table and have won just two of their last 10 games. They have allowed 45 goals through 28 games this season, which is the fifth most in the EPL and even while resting a few players, we expect Liverpool to score multiple goals here. In their last five matchups, the Reds have not allowed a single goal to Bournemouth, while piling in 17 of their own.

Chelsea vs Everton
Monday, 1am AEDT, Stamford Bridge
The Blues are riding high at the moment having racked up a fantastic win over Liverpool at home in the FA Cup. They currently sit in fourth place in the EPL, just three points ahead of the trailing Manchester United and will be desperate to continue winning in the Premier League to keep their chances of playing in the Champions League next year alive.
Everton sit in 11th place but have been in some good form, winning five of their last 10 games and losing just two over that stretch. They are coming off a hard fought draw at home against Manchester United on Matchday 28 and can move into the top 10 with a win on Monday morning.
Like the look of the Blues here at home. They will have gained a bunch of confidence from their win over Liverpool in the FA Cup and they are fighting for the lives in the race to qualify for the Champions League. At $1.80, there is enough meat on the bone to just back them to simply win at home, which we think they will do.
Manchester United vs Manchester City
Monday, 3.30am AEDT, Old Trafford
The game of the round sees Manchester United facing off against their cross town rivals in Manchester City. City have won their last two games on the trot, both solid wins over West Ham and Leicester City. They currently sit in second place on the EPL table, a whopping 22 points behind Liverpool. While the title isn’t mathematically impossible, Manchester City will likely be focusing a lot of their attention on their FA Cup and Champions League campaigns, where they sit extremely well poised in both.
On the other hand, Manchester United is desperate for success in the Premier League at the moment. They currently sit just three points behind Chelsea in the race for Champions League qualification, which should be their main focus after missing the Champions League this season.
Like the look of Manchester United at home. They have so much more to play for in the EPL and no doubt the Citizens will have one eye on both their mid-week clash against Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup in the lead up and their mid-week clash against Real Madrid in the Champions League the week after.
