With a full schedule of FA Cup fixtures to look forward to this weekend, the EPL will squeeze a round of games in during the week, with the games kicking off on Wednesday morning and continuing through to Friday.
As usual, we take a look at some of the key matchups of the round and give our best bets below!
EPL Matchday 24 Betting Tips
Chelsea vs Arsenal (Wednesday 7.15am AEDT)
The game of the round sees the Blues squaring off against the Gunners on Wednesday morning. Chelsea suffered a disappointing loss to Newcastle in Week 23 and will be keen to bounce back at Stamford Bridge to keep a buffer inside the top four. They currently sit five points clear of Manchester United, while Arsenal site a further five points back in 10th place.
The Gunners have had a season to forget, maintaining just a 6-11-6 record through 23 games, the most draws of any team in the EPL. They have drawn their last two games to Crystal Palace and Sheffield United, but have a much tougher task on Wednesday morning at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are looking to complete the Premier League double against Arsenal for the fifth time after beating them 2-1 at Emirates Stadium back on the 29th of December. Only Liverpool and Manchester United have secured the double against Arsenal on five occasions, but Chelsea look the goods to join them here if recent form is anything to go by. The Gunners are winless in their last seven EPL games at Stamford Bridge, dating all the way back to 2011.
Leicester vs West Ham (Thursday 6.30am AEDT)
The Foxes have been one of the most impressive teams of the year so far, maintaining a 14-3-6 record and currently sitting in 3rd place on the EPL table. They have, however, lost their last two games to Southampton and Burnley and will be desperate to bounce back at home on Thursday morning.
West Ham has won just three of their last 10 games and currently sit in 16th place on the table. They are still firmly entrenched in the relegation race, sitting just one point above the 18th placed Aston Villa. They secured a solid draw against Everton at home in Week 23, a good bounce back performance after being beaten by Sheffield the week before.
Leicester had a dominant record over West Ham since coming back into the top flight in English football. They have lost just one of their last 10 matchups against the Hammers, with their only loss coming back in 2018. The Foxes start as strong favourites here and we have to agree with the bookies. Back them to win by at least 2 goals.
Wolverhampton vs Liverpool (Friday 7am AEDT)
Call me crazy, but I think this might be the game where Liverpool FINALLY drops another point or at least allows one or more goals. They have won their last 13 games in a row since drawing with Manchester United all the way back in October and remain undefeated. They sit a whopping 16 points clear on top of the table and have one hand grasped around the trophy.
Wolverhampton are in a tight race of their own as they attempt to break into the top four and qualify for the Champions League. They sit just five points behind Chelsea in fourth place after securing a great win on the road in Southampton on the weekend.
The Wolves are one team that has had a small amount of success over Liverpool since their run of domination started. They claimed a 2-1 win over the Reds in their last home matchup back in January of last year. The Reds will no doubt be looking forward to their FA Cup tie with Shewsbury on the weekend while the Wolves are already out of the tournament.
