EPL Matchday 18 Betting Tips
Everton vs Arsenal
Saturday, 11:30pm AEDT
Everton look to have finally found some form in season 2019-20 and are a team that no one will want to come up against at the moment. They’re coming off an impressive away draw against Manchester United, which followed their 3-1 home win against Chelsea. Now up against another member of the Big Six, the Toffees have a chance to build some serious momentum as we approach the second half of the season.
Arsenal were hopeful of making it back to back league wins when they hosted the defending champions last weekend. However, they were simply outplayed and outclassed as they went on to lose 3-0. The Gunners have had a pretty disappointing season to date and come into Christmas sitting in 10th spot on the ladder.
Everton are in the better form of the two teams and should be winning this at home. Arsenal have won just two of their eight away games this season, conceding an average of 1.5 goals in those games. We’re happy to be with Everton to win at anything over even money here.
Manchester City vs Leicester City
Sunday, 4am AEDT
The Citizens bounced back from a poor loss to Manchester United to beat Arsenal 3-0 on the road last weekend. It was a very important three points that keeps them within a shout of Liverpool, however, they’ll need plenty of luck if they’re to catch up to them at this rate. City are third on the table coming into this clash, 14 points behind the league-leading Reds.
Leicester were unable to make it nine wins on the spin when they hosted Norwich last start. The 1-1 draw was their first sub-par performance in months and saw them fall 10 points behind Liverpool in the title race. The Foxes will now face one of the toughest tasks in world football when they travel to face the defending champs at the Etihad.
Manchester City are the deserving favourites here, but they’re just too short for our liking. Leicester have been stingy in defence all season, conceding just 11 goals in 17 fixtures, including just six on the road. If they bring the same sort of approach to this clash, then taking them to win or draw looks to be the best bet here.

Watford vs Manchester United
Monday, 1am AEDT
Watford were given no hope of a point last weekend when they travelled to Anfield to take on Liverpool and while they had a couple of chances to score, they were certainly the worse of the two sides by a big margin. It’s been a nightmare first half of the season for the Hornets and they’ll be hoping for much better fortunes in the new year.
Manchester United were unable to back up their fantastic win over City two weeks back when they drew 1-1 with Everton last start. They had their fair share of chances in front of goal, but it just wasn’t to be. Despite their inability to win, the Red Devils are now an impressive six games unbeaten in all competitions.
To be honest, we were shocked to see United at nearly even money here. Watford have won just one game all season and have failed to score a goal in four of their past five outings. Manchester United may not be the strongest team in the competition this season, but they’re certainly deserving of shorter odds in this fixture.
