EPL Matchday 17 Betting Tips
Leicester City vs Norwich City
Sunday, 2am AEDT
Leicester City continue to dominate week in and week out and are certainly a genuine title contender this season. Last weekend they took care of business on the road by defeating Aston Villa 4-1, which was their eighth consecutive league win. The Foxes are still eight points behind league-leaders Liverpool, but they’ve opened up a six-point gap to Manchester City in third.
Norwich City were disappointing 2-1 losers at home to Sheffield last weekend in what was their second such result in a row. It’s really been a tough season back in England’s topflight for the Canaries who have won just one of their last 10 league fixtures. They’re currently second last on the table and desperately need to find some form to avoid immersing themselves in a relegation battle.
It’s 2nd vs 19th here in what looms as the most lopsided fixture in Matchday 17. The Foxes deservingly come in as the short-priced favourites, but we’ve found some value in them to win this to nil. They’ve conceded just four times in eight home fixtures this season and should have no problems keeping a clean sheet against one of the worst sides in the competition.

Manchester United vs Everton
Monday, 1am AEDT
Manchester United come into this off their best win of the season last time out. On the road in the Manchester Derby, United created chance after chance to eventually defeat the champions 2-1. As a result, United have regained fifth spot on the league table and are closing the gap to Chelsea in fourth.
Everton recorded a big win in their most recent clash against Chelsea. With their backs well and truly against the wall, Everton produced their best performance of the season to down the Blues 3-1 at home. Despite the win, Everton still find themselves down in 14th spot on the table and just two points clear of the drop zone.
Both teams were fantastic last weekend, but we see Manchester United as the most likely to back it up with another win. They’ve been the more consistent of the two clubs this season and on their home deck, we see them as a great bet this weekend.
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Tottenham Hotspur
Monday, 1am AEDT
The Wolves shared the points with the in-form Seagulls last weekend in a 2-2 draw on the road. It may not have been what the Wolves were after, but that draw made it 15 games without defeat for them in major competitions. They’re sitting pretty in sixth spot on the table and can push for top four if they continue on this trend.
Tottenham Hotspur have looked solid under new manager Jose Mourinho. Last weekend they flogged Burnley 5-0 at home to jump back into seventh on the table. The Spurs did play midweek in the Champions League however, where they were 3-1 losers on the road to Bayern Munich, which made it 2/2 losses on the road under Mourinho.
Both clubs bring some decent form into this clash, but we have to go with the Wolves at home here. There’s no way they should be $3+ on their home deck, especially with the recent results the Spurs have dished up on the road. We’re happy to be with the Wolves for our value play of the round.
