UCL Matchday 2 Betting Tips
Manchester City vs Dinamo Zagreb (Wednesday 5am)
First up we look at a match that has all the makings of a smashing. Manchester City have had a couple of slip-ups in the EPL this season, but they’re still a force to be reckoned with. They’ve bowed out earlier than they’d have liked in the UCL over the past couple of years, so they’ll be looking to make a statement this time around.
City’s opponents here are Dinamo Zagreb, a team that plays its domestic football in the Croatian Football League. They’ve had a horror time competing in the UCL in recent years and are likely to be witches’ hats for City on Wednesday morning.
We can’t see Zagreb scoring against City, and we can see City banging in quite a few. Loving the home side to kick 3+ and hold a clean sheet to kick off our UCL Matchday 2 bets.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Bayern Munich (Wednesday 5am)
One of the best matches of the slate will see Tottenham host German powerhouse, Bayern Munich. Tottenham haven’t had the greatest of starts to their new EPL campaign and currently sit in sixth spot after seven fixtures. However, they’ve been fantastic in the UCL over the past couple of seasons, making the final last year where they lost to Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich remain undefeated through six matches in the Bundesliga. They’ve had complete dominance of their domestic league for a long time now, but they haven’t been able to bring that dominance to the UCL in recent seasons.
Tottenham haven’t been in as good of form as their opponents here, but they’ve been extremely good at home in the UCL over the past couple of seasons. They’re well over the odds in this fixture, and while they may not get the three points, we expect them to win at least one half.

Liverpool vs Red Bull Salzburg (Thursday 5am)
The third and final fixture of Matchday 2 that we’re keen to make a play on is Liverpool vs Red Bull Salzburg. The Reds have been in irresistible form in the EPL, winning all of their seven fixtures thus far and opening up a five-point gap on Manchester City. They did suffer a loss in their opening UCL match to Napoli though, so they’ll be looking to get off the mark in their group on Thursday.
Salzburg are an Austrian team that isn’t expected to do too much damage in the UCL. They are in fantastic form in their domestic league, but it’s certainly not anywhere near the quality of the EPL, so you can take that form with a grain of salt. Their Europa League campaign was impressive last year, so it'll be interesting to see how they go in this big step up.
We’re keen to back in Liverpool to bounce back from their loss to Napoli with a big win at Anfield against a weaker opposition. They should win by 2+, and that’s what we’ll be backing, but you can get 3+ at good odds if you’re really keen.
