AFL Round 23 Sunday Betting Tips
Western Bulldogs vs Adelaide Crows (1:10pm, Mars)
The Bulldogs looked as hungry as ever in their dominant win over the Giants last weekend. They trailed by three points at half time but kept them goalless in the second half to go on and win by 61 points. Jack Macrae was huge again with 39 touches, as was Josh Dunkley with 31 touches and two goals.
Last weekend the Crows had a chance to hold their position in the eight and almost lock in a finals spot, but instead they lost by a whopping 66 points to the Magpies and must now fight it out with the Bulldogs in Victoria. It’s been another disappointing season for the 2017 runners-up and serious questions are being asked of their coaching staff.
The Bulldogs are one of the most in-form sides of the competition at the moment and we’re all over them in this fixture. They’re hard to beat when they get going and we expect them to put the Crows to the sword, simultaneously clinching a finals berth.

Richmond Tigers vs Brisbane Lions (3:20pm, MCG)
Arguably the match of the round sees the Tigers take on the Lions at the MCG. The Tigers saw off a determined Eagles side last time out to record a one goal win in inspiring fashion. They trailed for most of the match but found enough late to record a much-needed win that keeps their top four hopes well and truly alive.
The Lions also played in a blockbuster Round 22 match and also ended up on the winning side. They too trailed for much of their clash with the Cats but ended up coming out on top thanks to a huge mark and goal by ex-Cat Lincoln McCarthy. That win has the Lions sitting on top of the ladder with one match remaining,
The Lions may be flying high on recent form, but the Tigers are a different beast at the MCG. The Tigers have beaten the Lions in 12 straight meetings and the Lions haven’t won on the MCG since 2014. We expect both stats to stay intact.

Port Adelaide Power vs Fremantle Dockers (4:40pm AO)
Port Adelaide had a finals berth in their grasp when they entered Round 22, but the way they played showed they’re anything but deserving of a finals spot. They lost by 86 points to North Melbourne last Saturday and are now long odds to finish inside the top eight.
The Dockers also had their finals hopes shattered in Round 22. They were outdone by the Bombers in Perth in what was Ross Lyon’s last match as Head Coach. The Dockers will be looking to finish their season on a high and follow the recent successes of interim coaches.
While the Power are arguably the stronger side of the two, the Dockers will fancy their chances here. They’ll be up and about with a new coaching system taking place and will be ready to take advantage of a vulnerable Power side. We wouldn’t be surprised if the Dockers win this, but we’ll be safe and play them at the line. If you’re keen on playing any of the player prop markets, then we fancy the Robbie Gray 25+ Disposal play.
