EPL Week 3 Betting Tips
Norwich City vs Chelsea (Saturday 9.30pm AEST)
After a tough 4-1 loss to Liverpool in Week 1, Norwich City bounced back on the weekend to defeat Newcastle in their home opener 3-1. They maintained 63% possession and fired off eight shots on target in the win as striker Teemu Pukki scored a hat-trick in just over 40 minutes. Norwich will have another tough test against a big six club this weekend as they host Chelsea on Saturday night.
The Blues have had a slow start to the season and seem to be still adjusting to life without Eden Hazard and under the leadership of the new manager in Frank Lampard. They were handled comfortably by Manchester United in Week 1 to the tune of 4-0 and struggled once again in Week 2 against Leicester City at home. Youngster Mason Mount scored the Blues first goal of the season as they mustered just a 1-1 draw with the Foxes.
Tough game to call here as an out of form top flight side comes up against an in form newly promoted team. The two sides faced off in a home and away fixture in the FA Cup last season. Norwich were able to hold on for a 0-0 draw at home in the first leg before Chelsea managed to get over the line in penalties in the second leg. Norwich hasn’t won a single game against Chelsea in any competition since the turn of the century; however, they have forced five draws in 15 games in that span. They are in great value at home with the double chance.

Liverpool vs Arsenal (Sunday 2.30am AEST)
The two only perfect teams through two weeks will face off on Sunday morning as Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield. Liverpool were dominant over Norwich City in Week 1, firing off 7 shots on target as they won 4-1. They were just as dominant in Week 2 although the score line wouldn’t suggest it as they claimed a 2-1 win over Southampton.
Arsenal has recorded one-goal wins over Newcastle and Burnley to open the season with star strikers Aubameyang and Lacazette both having found the back of the net for the Gunners through the two games. On early season form, both Newcastle and Burnley look to be pretty strong opponents and Arsenal will have another tough test this weekend on the road at Liverpool.
We love the value for the Gunners here. The bookmakers have definitely put a lot of stock in the form of Manchester City and Liverpool to start the season and we struggle to see how any big six club should be paying $5+ against another side. Considering what happened in the City vs Tottenham game on the weekend, we think there’s great value in the Gunners double chance here.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Burnley (Monday 1.30am AEST)
Wolverhampton has had two tough matches to open the season against Leicester City and Manchester United and have managed to come away with a point in both games. Burnley will offer another tough challenge this weekend against Burnley, who has looked one of the form sides in the competition.
The Clarets opened their season with a dominant 3-0 performance at home against Southampton and while they couldn’t capture a point in Week 2, they were admirable against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.
The two sides have met seven times since the 2010 season and with Burnley claiming three wins to the Wolves two. Both sides were victorious in their home fixture in the 2018-19 Premier League season. Tough game to call but we have to side with the home team here in the Wolves.
