WFWC 2019 Australia vs Jamaica Betting Tips
Match Prediction
It’s a huge third and final game of the group stage for the Matildas as they take on the Jamaicans. The Matildas became just the second team in World Cup history to come back from a two-goal deficit to win in their most recent match against the Brazilians. It was a tremendous effort from the 6th ranked team in the world, leading to star striker Sam Kerr to tell the haters during her post-game interview to “suck on that”. It was a crucial win for our women who lost their first group match to the Italians in heartbreaking fashion.
The Jamaicans, or the ‘Reggae Girlz’, come into their final group stage match with little to no hope of qualifying for the knockout stage. They boast a team that has an average age of just 22, which is the youngest of all teams in the tournament. A combination of inexperience and inferior talent has hurt them in their first two games, and it won’t be any easier in their third match against a desperate Australian outfit.
While it’s likely the Matildas will still advance through to the knockout stage if they lose to the Jamaicans on Wednesday morning due to being one of the top four third placed teams (they’re currently ranked second among third placed teams), it’s still vitally important for their confidence that they produce a strong result against a poor opposition.
The Matildas are yet to hit top gear this tournament but showed some really good signs in the second half against the Brazilians last time out. They now get a look at one of the worst teams in the tournament (Jamaica’s ranked 53rd in the official world rankings) who have already had their fate sealed. Expect the class of the Aussies to shine through on Wednesday as they go on to win by 4+ goals.

Goalscorer Market
Always a fun market to get on when you know it’s going to be a one-sided affair with plenty of goals is the goalscorer market. The obvious play here is superstar striker Samantha Kerr, who has proven time and time again to be one of the deadliest forwards in the world. She’s yet to really find her best form at the World Cup with just one goal from two appearances but gets a look a one of the worst and leakiest defences in the tournament this time out. Kerr has won both theW-League Golden Boot and NWSL Golden Boot in consecutive seasons (2017 and 2018), and it’s now time for her to do it on the biggest stage in women’s soccer. Take her to score a brace at a really nice quote.
