It was also a great weekend for us and our followers as both of our predictions were right and we were able to build on what has already been a profitable season. We now look towards the upcoming semi-finals where we’ve provided previews and predictions below. Good luck to everyone following!
A-League Semi-Finals Betting Tips
Perth Glory vs Adelaide United (Friday 8:30PM AEST)
The first semi-final on this weekend see’s minor premiers Perth Glory host FFA Cup champions Adelaide United at NIB Stadium in Perth at 8:30PM on Friday night.
Perth Glory had a stellar season and were rewarded with a bye in the opening week of finals and they now get to host the first of the semi-finals this week for a spot in the Grand Final. Glory had a 10-2-2 record at home this season, which will give them plenty of confidence ahead of this first semi-final.
As we expected, Adelaide United were too good for Melbourne City in their home elimination final last weekend, but only just! They scraped through in thrilling fashion thanks to a 119thminute winner from Ben Halloran. Adelaide now hit the road where they were 6-4-3 in their 13 road fixtures this season.
These teams met three times this season and Perth were by far the better of the two, winning two of them and drawing the other. Being at home should only give more of an advantage in a tie that they’re huge favourites in. It’s extremely hard to see anything other than a Perth Glory win here.
Sydney FC vs Melbourne Victory (Sunday 7PM AEST)
The second of the 2019 semi-finals will see the leagues greatest rivals in Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory fight it out for a spot in this year’s Grand Final. This huge fixture is scheduled for a 7PM kick off at Jubilee Stadium on Sunday night.
Sydney FC earned the right to automatically qualify to the semi-finals thanks to yet another impressive season where they finished second on the ladder. They’ll also have home ground advantage on Sunday night, which could prove to be massive considering they’re 9-1-3 there this season.
Melbourne Victory did as they always seem to do, which is step it up a gear when the finals come around. They were good without being great during the season, doing just enough to earn themselves a home elimination final, which they would eventually win 3-1 over Phoenix. Victory must now hit the road where they have an impressive record of 8-2-3 on the season.
It wouldn’t be a finals series without these great rivals going head-to-head for another spot in the Grand Final. Sydney FC have had the better regular season once again, but Melbourne Victory have had the wood over them in these clashes for some time now. In a very even content, we’ll take the value on offer with Melbourne Victory.
