EPL Match Day 36 Betting Tips
Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham United (Saturday 9:30pm AEST)
First up with our EPL tips this weekend we take a look at the fixture between Tottenham and West Ham. The spurs will be looking to complete the season double over the Hammers after defeating them by one goal to nil at London Stadium.
The Spurs were able to bounce back from their loss to Manchester City with a solid one nil win at home to Brighton. It was an important three points for Pochettino’s Spurs who are looking to hold onto a top four spot and secure Champions League football for another year.
The Hammers have had a relatively successful season that they’d be quietly happy with as we approach the finish line. They sit in 11thspot on the ladder and have been safe from the relegation zone pretty much from start to finish. However, they’re in a decent form slump at the moment with just one point from their past four games and won’t find It any easier on Saturday night.
The Spurs come in as the odds-on favourite here and rightly so. They’re by far the better of the two teams and are always a tough cover on their home deck. We expect them to win by 2+ at really nice odds.
Fulham vs Cardiff City (Sunday 12am AEST)
Second up on Saturday night we’ve found value in the fixture between Fulham and Cardiff City. Cardiff got the better of Fulham earlier in the season in a six-goal thriller and will be looking to do the same this time around in a bid to remain in the top flight.
Fulham have left their best form just a little too late with relegation a definite with just three games remaining. They’ve won two games on the spin with their most recent being a 1-0 win away to Bournemouth in what was one of their best performances this season.
Meanwhile, Cardiff find themselves in a similar position to Fulham but at least they still have the chance to win their way out of relegation. They’re currently three points as well as goal difference from safety with three games remaining and will get their best opportunity to pick up maximum points in this fixture.
With so much on the line, we expect a desperate Cardiff outfit on Saturday night to put in a big performance at the Cottage. We’re prepared to back them in at long odds to get the job done and move one step closer to safety.
Southampton vs Bournemouth (Sunday 12am AEST)
The third and final fixture we like this weekend involves Southampton hosting Bournemouth at St. Mary’s. These teams played out a nil all draw in their earlier meeting this season at the Vitality Stadium.
The Saints were on the wrong end of a 3-1 score-line last weekend against Newcastle before drawing 1-1 with the Hornets mid-week. Despite picking up just one point from those two fixtures, Southampton are in a really good position to stay afloat in England’s top flight.
As mentioned above, Bournemouth were losers last time out against Fulham in what was just about their most disappointing match of the season. They’ve now lost three of their last four games with a big 5-0 win over Brighton in-between. Inconsistency has plagued the Cherries for much of their campaign, although they’ve still done enough to be in 14thspot and clear of the drop zone.
The Saints have been in the better form of the two teams here and also have the advantage of playing at home. Further, a win here would have them stay in the EPL for another season which is huge motivation.
