2018-19 EPL: Week 30 Preview & Betting Tips

March 9th 2019, 3:57pm, By: Jake Smit

We had another successful weekend with our 2018-19 EPL betting tips on Match Day 29, hitting on two of our three recommended plays. We kicked things off with a winner in the Arsenal or Draw market in the North London Derby ($1.95), before hitting on West Ham to beat Newcastle at good odds ($2.13), although we couldn’t make it 3/3 as Manchester United won by just the one goal, instead of the 2+ we anticipated. We’ve now hit on eight from our last nine tips and are confident we can keep the ball rolling this weekend with Match Day 30 on the cards. Check out our best picks below and good luck to everyone following!

EPL Match Day 30 Betting Tips

Liverpool vs Burnley (Sunday 11pm AEDT)

First up for the weekend we’re taking a look at Liverpool vs Burnley at Anfield on Sunday night. Liverpool have been dropping valuable points all too regularly lately and now find themselves playing catch-up to Manchester City in the title race. Their most recent fixture was an away draw against Everton in the Merseyside Derby, which was their fourth draw from their last six games.

Meanwhile, the Clarets find themselves in the midst of a relegation battle, which they’re currently winning at the time being. They’re five points clear of 18th placed Cardiff with nine games remaining and will be desperate to get something out of this game at Anfield.

As much as Burnley will want to claim a point or three from this fixture, we just don’t see it happening. Liverpool have conceded just 15 goals from 29 games this season and have had clean sheets in each of their last four games. We expect them to take care of business at home with a win to nil.

Chelsea vs Wolverhampton Wanderers (Monday 1am AEDT)

Second up this weekend we’re making a play on the Chelsea vs Wolverhampton fixture at Stamford Bridge on Monday morning. Chelsea look to have turned the corner with back-to-back Premier League wins against Tottenham and Fulham. Those six points claimed from their last two has kept them in touch with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United for a place in the top four.

The Wolves ended a three game winless stretch with a dominant 2-0 win over Cardiff at home in their last time out. It was a good steadying win that keeps them in the top half of the table with a handful of games to go.

Both Chelsea and Wolves have been playing a defensive brand over the last couple of weeks, which we expect to extend into this fixture on Monday morning. The both teams to score market has failed to hit in seven of Chelsea’s last eight home games, which we thought about having a play on, but we’ve instead leaned towards the Under 2.5 goals market.

Arsenal vs Manchester United (Monday 3:30am AEDT)

Third up and our final play of Match Day 30 comes from the blockbuster clash between Arsenal and Manchester United on Monday morning. Arsenal were unlucky not to pinch all three points in the North London Derby last weekend in a game they dominated for large portions. They looked to be playing the same attacking style that led to nine goals in their previous three fixtures, which correlated to three wins. As it stands, the Gunners are in fifth spot and are breathing down the necks of Manchester United in fourth.

The Red Devils complete one of their biggest underdog wins in recent memory mid-week, coming from two goals down in their Champions League tie with PSG to progress to the next round. It was just another great performance under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has led United to 32 points from a maximum 36 in their last 12 EPL fixtures.

This is a fixture that has been known for having goals, which is exactly what we expect to continue. The over 2.5 goals market has hit in their last three meetings, with a total of 11 goals scored in that span. We considered a play on the both teams to score market, but see the over 2.5 as a touch better value here.

Total Goals Over 2.5

$1.62
