Last weekend was another successful one in what is proving to be a profitable season for our followers. We hit on two winners from our three tips in Match Day 23. First up we hit on Wolves to win at $2.30, before taking Newcastle at $2, although we couldn’t make to 3/3 as United failed to win by two against Brighton. We now shift our focus to this weekend’s slate that is Match Day 25 of the 2018-19 EPL season. Good luck to everyone following!
EPL Match Day 25 Betting Tips
Tottenham Hotspur vs Newcastle United (Saturday 11:30pm AEDT)
Our first play of the weekend’s action will come from the opening match between Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United. The teams played earlier in the season at St. James’ Park in a close game that ended 2-1 in favour of the visiting Spurs.
Both the Spurs and Newcastle come into this with two game winning streaks under their belts. Tottenham have won back-to-back 2-1 thrillers against Fulham and Watford, while Newcastle defeated Cardiff 3-0 before recording perhaps the biggest upset of the season when they knocked over Manchester City at home (2-1). Both teams need wins for different reasons here – Spurs need one to stay in touch with Liverpool in the title race, while Newcastle can keep away from the relegation zone if they’re victorious.
With so much on the line for both teams we aren’t making a play on the head-to-head market, instead opting to make a play on the Over 2.5 Goals market that we feel is terrific value. Six of the Spurs last seven matches have had 3+ goals, while each of Newcastle’s last three have had 3+ goals. Further, the last two meetings between these teams have both gone over the total.

Crystal Palace vs Fulham (Sunday 2am AEDT)
The second game of the round that we’re particularly interested in is Crystal Palace vs Fulham. Palace were victorious in their earlier meeting with Fulham this season, defeating them by two goals to nil on the road.
Crystal Palace aren’t in the best form of late, but scraped through with a valuable away point against Southampton mid-week. It’s been a tough stretch with just four points in their past five games, but they’ve had a really tricky draw to deal with. As it stands, they’re in 15th position on the table and four points above the drop-zone.
Meanwhile, Fulham come into this game after claiming an extremely valuable three points in their mid-week game against Brighton and Hove. That win put an end to three consecutive losses and keeps them alive for the time being. They’re currently second last on the table and are six points behind the safe zone.
Neither of these teams have been in great form of late, but we do favour Palace out of the two. They’re a hard team to break down at home and come against Fulham who have lost nine of their past 10 away games. Anything around $2 here is value in our eyes.
Cardiff City vs Bournemouth (Sunday 2am AEDT)
Our third and final play for Match Day 25 comes from the lower end battle between Cardiff City and Bournemouth. Bournemouth won the earlier meeting 2-0 this season at the Vitality Stadium, which was the first top flight clash between these teams.
Cardiff are having a really tough season in England’s top league this season and are enduring a tough stretch over the past eight games, which they’ve managed just one win. They’re going to be fighting the relegation battle for the remainder of the season, and are currently in 18th spot and four points away from the safe zone.
On the other hand, the Cherries are coming off their best win of the season mid-week when they defeated Chelsea 4-0 at home. It was a truly complete performance for a team that has returned to the top half of the table thanks to consecutive wins.
The Cherries may be away from home here, but they’re by far the better team of the two. We expect them to continue to build on what has been a great stretch for them with another win on Sunday morning.
