Great start to our 2018-19 EPL betting tipping season as we hit on two out of three bets in week one. We’ll look to continue our good start as we present our preview and betting tips for the key games of Week 2 in the EPL which is headlined by a massive London Derby between Chelsea and Arsenal!
EPL Week 2 Betting Tips
Chelsea vs Arsenal (Sunday 2.30am AEST)
The game of the round sees Chelsea hosting Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday morning. Chelsea got their season off to a good start with a 3-0 win over Huddersfield away from home last weekend. N’Golo Kante, Pedro and new signing Jorginho all found the back of the net in the win as Chelsea looked ominous controlling 63% possession and firing 13 shots.
Tough start to the season for Arsenal as they have to follow up a first round matchup with Manchester City with an away game at Chelsea. They created some good chances on the weekend but were ultimately outplayed by City, going down 2-0 as Raheem Stirling and Bernardo Silva found the back of the net. They’ll look to get their season back on track this weekend with their first game at Emirates.
Arsenal are undefeated in their last five games against Chelsea and captured a 2-1 win at home against the Blues in their last matchup back in January. Five of the last seven games between the two teams have resulted in three or more goals and Arsenal created some great chances against Manchester City on the weekend so this has the potential to be a high scoring game.

Manchester City vs Huddersfield (Sunday 10.30pm AEST)
Manchester City got their season off to a flyer last weekend, downing the Gunners 2-0 away from home and they’ll return to Etihad this weekend for their home opener. The fact that they backed up a dominant 100 point season by coming out of the blocks and comfortably beating Arsenal away from home is an ominous sign for their season ahead, and they did it all with arguably their best player in Kevin De Bruyne starting on the bench.
Huddersfield have a tough run to open the season, facing Chelsea last weekend and backing it up with an away game against Manchester. They were beaten comfortably by the Blues on the weekend and have a horror weekend against the Citizens since joining the Premier League, allowing eight goals in three games and securing just one point in the process.
Manchester City scoring 2 goals against the Gunners is daunting for Huddersfield this weekend. Chelsea’s attack pales in comparison to that of the Manchester City attack and they allowed the Blues to slide home three on the weekend. At Etihad, the Citizens should be pumped up, we expect them to pile them on here.

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool (Tuesday 5am AEST)
Crystal Palace were fantastic in Week 1, picking up a 2-0 away win against Fulham and solidifying some predictions that they were a top ten chance this year. Jeffrey Schlupp and Wilfried Zaha both found the back of the net for Palace while off season pickup Cheikhou Kouyate saw some valuable minutes off the bench.
Liverpool also picked up a great win in Week 1, downing West Ham 4-0 at home as Sadio Mane scored twice. Daniel Sturridge and Mohamed Salah also scored in the win, which sent Liverpool to the top of the EPL table and sent an early message to the rest of the league. Liverpool’s front three looked ridiculous and new midfielder Naby Keita was electric in setting up chances.
Liverpool start as $1.42 favourites here so not much value there but I did really like the look of the Palace attack last weekend. I think they can find the back of the net against the Reds, but ultimately Liverpool should win this one.
