Looks very hard to beat in the Cup. Comes into this third up from a spell and has never finished outside the top two at the distance. Last start was beaten 3L by Theanswermyfriend and Mr Sneaky, which has subsequently turned out to be Group 1 form. Main rival Strong Hand has never won from 12 starts on Good tracks.
Best Value: Race 8 Battles End
Getting back onto a Good track today should help this horse return to its best form. Has run on wet ground in his past four starts but all his best form has been on firm ground. Last time he struck a Good track he ran 2nd in BM70 grade, so from the good draw with the 2kg claim and conditions to suit, he should go well at $8.

This horse has had two runs back from a spell now, where on both occasions he has been snagged back from wide barriers and run home strongly. He’s come from last in both runs to finish 4th and then 3rd, and from barrier 5 today he will sit much closer to the speed. Joao Moreira takes over now that he’s ready to win and expecting him to go very close today.
Best Value: Race 7 Namjong Invincible
Thought $26 was a ridiculous price. This horse ran 2nd over this track and distance first up last prep, and then won his next start easily. Failed last time we saw him, but resumes today with two trials under the belt and he’s got a good record on the All-Weather Track. Drawn well and can run a nice race.
