Our weekly Wednesday Racing Tips continue this week as we preview some quality 8 race meets at Sandown and Doomben. We had a fairly good day last week and will be looking to back it up with tips for every race plus our Best Bet and Best Value tips below.
SANDOWN RACING TIPS
R1 - Mutin
R2 - Tuff Host
R3 - Bastille
R4 - Ma Jones
R5 - Nemrud
R6 - Weather The Storm
R7 - Kilmacurragh / Craven Image EW
R8 - Atlantic City
Best Bet: Race 3 Bastille
Very short now that the topweight has been scratched but deserves to be short after a dominant debut win where he won by over 5 lengths. This is obviously a big step up in grade but Hayes/Dabernig stable are flying, draws well and gets in well after the claim.
Best Value: Race 7 Craven Image
He just found them a bit sharp first up over 1300m when probably not anywhere near full fitness. May do so again from 1400m but if he has improved fitness wise then he will run significantly better here over 1400m. Weir can get these horses to improve out of sight with fitness so he looks a big danger at $7.50.
DOOMBEN RACING TIPS
R1 - Ignite The Light
R2 - She's Right
R3 - Our Red Jet
R4 - Bonsho EW
R5 - The Ambassadore
R6 - Karakabeel
R7 - Dame Van Winkle
R8 - Confronting
Best Bet: Race 5 The Ambassadore
Was poor in Saturday grade at Eagle Farm last start but drops back to the midweeks here and if we go off his form prior then he profiles well to win this. Was 2nd beaten a length in BM65 grade first up at this track before being held up in the straight and finishing 2nd at the Sunshine Coast. Draws well and should be hard to beat.
Best Value: Race 4 Bonsho
$8 looks a nice price here in a thin field for this runner who has had just the one start which was a runner up finish at Toowoomba. Resumes from a spell here and although Toowoomba form isn't the strongest, the debut showed he is capable of winning races and he gets his chance here first up from a spell with a 3kg claim.
