Caulfield Boxing Day Racing Tips
R1 - Oak Door EW
R2 - Bo Duke
R3 - Plein Ciel
R4 - Very Choosy
R5 - Lady Selkirk / Expinsive EW
R6 - Sir Bacchus / Exclusive Lass EW
R7 - Master Of Arts / Tavi Bay EW
R8 - Ozi Choice
Best Bet: Race 5 Lady Selkirk
Solid run second up from a spell to finish 3rd where she ran on strongly before possibly peaking slightly on her run. Third up here over the 1400m once again should see her hard to beat in a fairly shallow field.
Best Value: Race 7 Tavi Bay
Good win first up before Michelle Payne blamed the firm track last start, despite travelling three wide the trip. There looks to be decent pace here and she will get a soft run from the barrier. She's won her only start at this track, won third up from a spell last prep and gets in on the minimum so worth having a penny on at $18.
Randwick Boxing Day Betting Tips
R1 - Hualalai
R2 - Precautions
R3 - Static Lift
R4 - Via Napoli
R5 - Top Striker
R6 - Malice
R7 - Thewayweare
R8 - Chavish
Best Bet: Race 8 Chavish
Really liking the odds on offer here with $7.50 available which makes this a strong each way bet. This horse comes into this with two reasonable runs under his belt but should be ready to peak third up from a spell up to 1400m. Noticeable booking of James Doyle and I think there's a few chinks in the armour of its main competitors.
Best Value: Race 5 Zahron
More of a place hope than a winning hope but he can run a big race at $34. Trialled well before his first up run and then finished 4th only beaten 2L at Canterbury. Has won twice before second up from a spell, including last prep, and with the claim gets in with just 51kg here. Should lead and will give a sight.
