Draftstars NRL Salary Cap: $100,000
Hooker
Isaac Luke ($13,350) New Zealand Warriors
The Warriors have had a midseason revival and a lot can be credited to the improved form of their hooker Luke. The side is up against a big forward pack this weekend and if Luke spots them getting tired he will dart out of dummy half and look to take advantage of a gap. He is a hard working 80-minute hooker and will continue to kick goals whilst Shaun Johnson rests his leg.
Half
Tohu Harris ($13,350) Melbourne Storm
We have taken the unorthodox approach and picked Tohu Harris, a back rower as our halfback for this Saturday’s DFS tournament. Harris will ensure we get a solid score as the 80-minute work horse averages over 50 and if he is able to cross the white line it will be a massive bonus.
Centre
Joseph Leilua ($9,600) Canberra Raiders
The Raiders centre had slowed down in his attacking production over his last few matches but he is coming off a bye and will be a rejuvenated player. He is opposing Solomone Kata this weekend who isn’t known for his defence and he should cross the white stripe.
Mitchell Aubusson ($10,250) Sydney Roosters
We will be sticking with the successful approach we have taken over the last few weeks of including a backrower as a centre in our DFS team. Aubusson has been playing close to 80-minutes for the past month and has grabbed a couple of tries over this period. It will be hard for him to get across the white stripe against a strong Storm outfit but he will have a high work rate regardless.
Wing/Fullback
Cameron Munster ($11,350) Melbourne Storm
Munster made a successful return to first grade last week after spending a month on the sidelines due to injury. In his last match against the Roosters he played his best career game and earned over 100-points on Draftstars. It will be hard for him to match that performance but we will be backing him to go big again.
Suliasi Vunivalu ($7,850) Melbourne Storm
Vunivalu’s incredible try scoring run continued on the weekend as he grabbed another four-pointer. In his last match against the Roosters he scored a hat trick and at such a cheap price he is a must have for this weekend.
Front Row Forward
Josh Papalii ($11,650) Canberra Raiders
Being able to pick a back rower in the front row position is a huge boost for your DFS team and as Papalii is an 80-minute player he is a great inclusion. He will be up against a rookie and could find himself over the try line.
Agnatius Paasi ($8,550) Gold Coast Titans
Greg Bird will miss this weekend due to suspension and Paasi is the main beneficiary of this. He will start at lock and receive increased time on the field and is a great cheap option.
Second Row Forward
Ryan Hoffman ($8,700) New Zealand Warriors
The New Zealand captain has been playing at a solid level this season and is averaging 35 points per game. He will play all 80-minutes and at a cheap price.
Bunty Afoa ($5,000) New Zealand Warriors
Bodene Thompson remains sidelined with an injury which means Afoa will continue to start on the right edge. The youngster grabbed two tries last weekend which showed his hole running ability and bottom price he is close to a must have.
