Draftstars NRL Salary Cap: $100,000
Hooker
Peter Wallace ($8,850) Penrith Panthers
Wallace’s transition from halfback to hooker has been very successful this season. As James Segyaro is on the outer with the club, Wallace has benefited the most and is playing 80-minutes in a position where he will notch up a lot of points from tackles whilst last week he grabbed extra attacking points and could repeat that effort against the Tigers.
Halfback
Nathan Cleary ($6,150) Penrith Panthers
The 18-year-old halfback has showed experience way beyond his years in his opening three games in the NRL. The son of Ivan Cleary, he has a big future ahead of him and has grabbed two tries in his last 2 games. At a cheap price, he is a great option to free up money for high scoring forwards.
Centre
Chris Lawrence ($9,150)
Lawrence is a great player to take advantage of in Draftstars as he will be playing close to 8-minutes in the backrow and has had a high workload this season. As he is a former centre, you can pick him up in that position.
Isaah Yeo ($9,050) Penrith Panthers
Similar to Lawrence, Yeo is available at centre despite playing in the backrow. He will play big minutes and will get you a consistent score.
Wing/Fullback
Valentine Holmes ($7,950) Cronulla Sharks
The Sharks are on the top of the table and are playing against the Parramatta Eels who have been suffered even more drama this week. Holmes has been a major beneficiary of the Sharks success as he has crossed for a try 12 times in 14 matches this season.
James Tedesco ($14,200) Wests Tigers
Tedesco is the best fullback in fantasy sports and his great form continued against the strongest defence in the competition the Storm last week. He is likely going to be selected for New South Wales for game 3 but before he does we are expecting him to put on another great performance to cement his spot. He has scored 11 tries in 12 games this season whilst tallying 10 linebreaks and 9 try assists.
Front Row Forward
Ryan James ($12,900) Gold Coast Titans
James has been one of the most damaging forwards in the game this season and is playing close to 80-minutes in the front row. He is putting up huge numbers in both attack and in base stats and he is a must have for any team.
Leilani Latu ($7,350) Penrith Panthers
The big Panthers forward is beginning to make a name for himself at the foot out of the mountain and has moved into the starting line up for the side. His minutes are increasing and he is at a great price.
Second Row Forward
Bryce Cartwright ($11,500) Penrith Panthers
Cartwright has been moved from the backrow into five-eighth for the last two weeks and he has excelled in the position. He is a dangerous player with the ball in hand and grabbed three try assists last week and plenty of offloads. He is close to a must have in any side.
Elijah Taylor ($12,800) Wests Tigers
Since making his move from the Panthers to the Tigers, Taylor has become an 80-minute player and base stat machine. Taylor is guaranteed to score big as he will make a lot of tackles, perform offloads and make a lot of runs and if he is able to grab an attacking stat then it will be an added bonus.
