This weekend Draftstars is holding a $2,000 guaranteed NRL tournament for the Saturday and Sunday matches. Due to it being one of the larger bye rounds there is only two games to choose your players from which makes your selections even more important. We have analysed the two matches and have our Round 15 team of the week below.

Draftstars NRL salary cap: $100,000
Hooker
Isaac Luke ($13,200) New Zealand Warriors
We selected the Warriors hooker in our team last week and he didn’t let us down. In 70-minutes the International grabbed over 60-points by earning a lot of base points and grabbing two try assists with a good kick in behind the defence and with the last pass to an Albert Vete try. We are expecting similar attack and base points this weekend against the Roosters on home soil.
Alternative option: Kenneath Bromwich ($8,000) Melbourne Storm
Cameron Smith will miss this weekends match as he will be playing in State of Origin game 2. Storm coach Craig Bellamy has opted to put Bromwich at hooker to replace him and he should see big minutes and he is a good cheap option if you want to free up cash for other positions.
Halfback
Shaun Johnson ($14,800) New Zealand Warriors
The Warriors halfback picked up 50-points last week despite leaving the field with 15-minutes remaining. Johnson played a terrific match but missed out on a lot of attacking stats, as his creative work wasn’t rewarded with the final pass leading to a try. He generally plays a lot better in front of the home crowd and we expect a big score from him in front of the Roosters.
Alternative option: Ryan Matterson ($8,900) Sydney Roosters
Another cheaper selection who has excelled since making his debut a little over a month ago. He is averaging over 40-points as he makes a lot of base points and has the capabilities of earning attacking stats and that is very possible this weekend against the defence of the Warriors.
Centre
Cheyse Blair ($6,400) Melbourne Storm
Blair has been strong for the Storm since moving into the starting side over the last few weeks. He grabbed a try on the weekend to earn a large amount of points.
Tuimoala Lolohea ($9,150) New Zealand Warriors
Lolohea has been a revelation for the Warriors since moving to fullback to replace the injured Roger Tuivasa-Sheck. He has benefited from the Warriors improved attack in recent weeks and we are predicting him to pick up another massive score this weekend.
Wing/Fullback
David Fusitua ($8,100) New Zealand Warriors
The Warriors winger grabbed four tries in last week’s demolition of the Knights. The injury to Manu Vatuvei will possibly contribute to the attack heading towards his wing as he has proved he can finish off plays brilliantly.
Dale Copley ($5,000) Sydney Roosters
The Roosters centre has two games under his belt since returning from a shoulder injury and will be ready to fire in this one. The Roosters tend to attack down the left edge, which is his side and at bottom dollar he is a bargain.
Front Row Forward
Jesse Bromwich ($14,500) Melbourne Storm
Bromwich is one of the best forwards in the game and he will be relied upon heavily to lead his team to victory with Cooper Cronk and Cameron Smith in the Origin squad.
Kenneath Bromwich ($8,000) Melbourne Storm
We have selected the brother of Jesse to be our second front row forward. As stated earlier he will be playing at hooker and will pick up a lot of base points and is at a cheap price.
Second Row Forward
Dale Finucane ($11,900) Melbourne Storm
Finucane is the Storm’s lock and has been playing close to 80-minutes since his return from injury. He is involved in everything and is a workhorse in defence and is guaranteed a big score through just base stats and is capable of a monster score if he picks up attacking points.
Ryan Hoffman ($8,700) New Zealand Warriors
The Warriors captain will play 80-minutes on the edge and is guaranteed to rack up a lot of base points. As they are against the Roosters who will be without their regular edge players Aiden Guerra and Boyd Cordner he could easily cross for a try.
