Match: Wimbledon Mens Semi Final - Novak Djokovic vs Juan Martin del Potro
When: Friday, July 5th at 10.05 p.m. AEST
This year's Wimbledon championship has been quite the shock script on the ladies side. The men's script however, seems far more predictable as its' shaping up to be another classic final between tournament favorites Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray. Yes we're jumping the gun, since theres still two semi finals to be played, so lets look at tonight's match.
I'ts Novak Djokovic vs Juan Martin del Potro.
Some might look at the heavily favoured Djokovic @ $1.14 (Sportsbet) and not see alot of value and while we tend to agree, there seems to be value elsewhere.
This match may have been alot closer in the betting market had it not been for del Potro's big fall on centre court two nights ago where he hyperextended his left knee. However, he did go on to beat David Ferrer in three sets, but you need to be 100% to take it up to world number one Djokovic.
The "total match games" line is set at 35.5. This is where we believe the value lies.
These two have meet 11 times since 2007 and Novak came away with the chocolates 8 times. These two dont play in many tie breaks and they have never played a 5 set match. In 2011 at the French Open they played in a 4 set match and even that total game score only came to 35. The bookmakers have Djokovic at $1.83 to win in 3 sets, which seems solid, but we are going to take the under 35.5 total match games at $2.20.
