Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints – Friday, October 16 at 11:25am AEST
The Atlanta Falcons have been behind entering the fourth quarter in most of their games this season. Yet they still sit undefeated at 5-0. Mat Ryan has been productive with 120 completions for 1456 yards and 6 TD’s. Wide receiver Julio Jones is his go to guy in the air with 43 receptions, 545 yards and 4 TD’s but most surprising t me is the work on the ground with running back Devonta Freeman. Devonta has over 400 yards and 8 touchdowns. This is certainly going to be the factor that will hurt the Saints whose defense ranks last in the NFL allowing 409 yards of offense per game.
Who is Dan Quinn? <- great article for readers interested in the inner sanctum of an NFL coaches mind.
Atlanta is one of three teams to rank in the top 10 in both running and passing offense. Obviously a great sign of a well balanced offense and a thoughtful coach. Atlanta’s defense has also been lights out. Against the run and the pass in fact the Atlanta defense is ranked number 1 in the league at stopping the run (allowing just 78.4yards per game). I believe Atlanta cover.

Arizona Cardinals at Pittsburgh Steelers - Monday, October 19 at 4:00am AEST
If you missed MNF (Steelers at Chargers) you missed a good game and a gutsy play call in the dying seconds but more importantly information which can be directly applied to this game. Once again the Cardinals will be playing a team that has to travel back home on a short week and we know what happened to poor ole Detroit when this happened last week. Also the Steelers are on a high after such a crazy MNF finale. These two handicapping factors
-Steelers coming off a short week
-Steelers still on a high
Equate to a really “BAD SPOT” for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Arizona is in control of the West after another shock loss from Seattle and the Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians is merciless. I read somewhere this week, that this little series of road games is titled “The Bruce Arians revenge tour” and it’s funny but also important because it’s good to know that he is happy to go 100% the whole game and really bury teams. Cards could put up 50+ here and it will be a long night for the Steelers.

New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts - Monday, October 19 at 11:30am AEST
The Colts still won’t confirm if Luck will be ready to go Sunday night. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and I’m not sure if they will risk him against this Patriots defense especially when there is a slight look ahead considering Andrew Luck as Colts will host the worst defense next week (Saints).
Bill Bellicheck owns the Colts. Whether it’s in the Air or on the ground like in last year’s AFC Championship game when the Pats rushed for 177 yards and 3 TD’s either way Patriots will put points on the board and I trust their defense to get enough stops for New England to cover again.
Tip: New England Patriots at the line (-7.5) - $1.99 at Sportsbet
New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles - Tuesday, October 20 at 11:30am AEST
I always like NFC East rivalry games. I think the movie Silver Linings Playbook showed us behind the curtain at how “crazy” some of the fans are in that region. This division is basically a Log Jam and a win tonight could possibly be the difference come playoff time. It’s crazy to think that this early in the season but it’s going to be the tightest division all year.
I think the Eagles loss to Washington a couple of weeks ago really hurt and hopefully flipped a switch for them. They looked great against the Saints but I think we have to take that with a grain of salt. The Giants on the other hand looked very average against the struggling 49ers not to mention the Giants are 0-3 straight up in their last 3 MNF matchups.
The Eagles are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games versus the Giants. The Philadelphia Eagles at home in an important divisional game is the only way I’m going unless the line gets to a key number of 6.0-6.5 then I might rethink things.
Tip: Philadelphia at the line (-4.0) - $1.86 at CrownBet
