The English Premier League action from last week saw a lot of interesting results, none more so then Manchester City smashing the defending champions Chelsea 3-0. The result forced the club to reach into its pocket and they have signed a new attacking weapon Pedro from Barcelona. Continue reading for our EPL Week 3 betting tips and preview.

Manchester United vs Newcastle United (Saturday 9.45pm AEST)
The Red Devils have started off their season strongly for the first time since the departure of Sir Alex Fergurson. Not only have they received the maximum points in the opening two games but they also had a mid week victory in the Champions League play off. However, they have been less than convincing in their 1-0 victories against Tottenham and Aston Villa but it should be only a matter of time before they hit their straps.
The Magpies on the other hand would be disappointed with the start of their campaign as they a lead slip on two occasions on opening day before never being it the contest last weekend against Swansea. It will likely get worse as they head to Old Trafford and they will likely be happy to take a point out of this contest. The pressure surrounding captain Wayne Rooney will also play against them, as he will come out looking to fire his side into the lead and break his nine match goal drought.

Leicester City vs Tottenham Hotspur (Sunday 12.00am AEST)
The Foxes have been one of the biggest surprises so far this season. Although it is only two games into the season, they sit in second position on the ladder. They were able to put four past Sunderland on opening day and backing it up last weekend to shock West Ham away form home. Riyad Mahrez has found the back of the net on three occasions so far this season and if he is able to continue his great form then there could be an upset on the cards.
The Spurs have come out of the blocks racing in their opening two matches as they dominated the opening 25 minutes against Manchester United and Stoke City. Against the Red Devils they would lose their momentum after conceding an own goal but against the Potters they would make them pay scoring two first half goals. However, the second half was a totally different story. Not making the most of opportunities would cost them as a second half fight back would see them draw the match. I expect a similar performance from the Spurs, as Leicester will be full of confidence.

Norwich City vs Stoke City (Sunday 12.00am AEST)
The Potters have entered this season with a mountain of expectations on the club with a lot of new signings, none bigger than Xherdan Shaqiri who has had stints at Champions League sides Inter Milan and Bayern Munich. Shaqiri will make his debut this weekend and he will be asked to make an impact immediately as Stoke have only made one points over their first two games. However, they were against Liverpool and Tottenham and it took a Coutinho screamer to beat them in the final five minutes. Whilst Norwich City bounced back from a disappointing loss to show some attacking flare to beat Sunderland last weekend.
Stoke will be up for this contest and this could be a start of a very good season for the Potters.

Everton vs Manchester City (Monday 1.00am AEST)
It is clear Manchester City are now the team to beat and are title favourites after their demolition of Chelsea last weekend. It could have been easily more than 3-0 as Sergio Aguero has multiple shots saved early on that on another day would have found the back of the net. The resurge of Yaya Toure in the midfield is quite obviously a huge reason behind their early form as last season he was a passenger in a lot of games. He has clearly put the team forgetting his birthday behind him and is now ready to take City to new heights.
However, Everton showed last weekend that they will again be competing for one of the top spots. That could come down to whether Manchester United or Chelsea purchase John Stones but he will play this weekend and if Romelu Lukaku, Arona Kone and Ross Barkley are able to back up their performances from last week then they will stand a chance. Lukaku will always prove to be a threat as his strength, speed and size will make any defence shudder. Despite this though, you would have to be a brave man to back against City.

Arsenal vs Liverpool (Tuesday 5.00am AEST)
Liverpool has had the better start to the season as they have recorded two wins but both of these sides have been less than convincing with their performances. Goalkeeper Petr Cech had an awful start to his Arsenal career as his two mistakes led to the loss but he made a couple of fine saves in the weekends win against Crystal palace. The Gunners attack clearly improved as they created more chances. Whilst Liverpool has recorded two victories but their first came from a solo goal from Coutinho whilst their goal against Bournemouth should have been disallowed due to offside.
Arsenal should be on the front foot for the majority of the match and will create the better chances, if they can capitalise on this then they will get the victory whilst Liverpool will be looking to score from set pieces and on the break.
