The Raiders stay up north as they look to maintain their top four standing, taking on the Titans on the Gold Coast after obliterating the Eels last week in Darwin. They will face a Titans team who are off the back of two devastating losses and have just been dealt the blow of losing David Fifita for the clash. Tough afternoon ahead for the home side here.

Match Preview
The Titans come into this clash in poor form, after two successive 20+ point losses in a row. Last week, they took on the Dragons in Wollongong, and were never really in the contest. After a tight first half an hour, the Dragons ran in three quick tries before halftime, and were never headed from there. David Fifita was back to his barnstorming best for the Titans, running for 203 metres, busting 10 tackles, and scoring a try, but Fifita will miss this week in a huge blow.
The Raiders were the opposite last week, as they dominated a poor Eels outfit in Darwin, winning 50-12 to push the Raiders inside the top 4. Middles Corey Horsburgh and Joe Tapine both ran for over 200m, in what was an absolutely dominant performance from the Raiders pack. Taking on a Titans pack without Fifita this week, the Raiders could be close to unstoppable once again.
The Raiders and Titans met once last season, in round 6 at GIO Stadium, with the Raiders closing 9.5-point home favourites, with a total of 46.5. Canberra were the dominant team, but the game went to Golden Point, with ex-Titan Jamal Fogarty slotting the game winning field goal in the 90th minute to secure the 21-20 win for the Raiders.
The Raiders were slated as 2.5-point favourites on the lookahead line for this weekend’s matchup, before re-opening just 1.5-point favourites, in what seemed like an odd move by the books. The Raiders were quickly bet out to -3.5, where the spread remains at the time of writing. With the loss of Fifita, I’d be surprised if we stayed on this side of 4, and I make the fair spread Raiders -5.5, so anything under 4 is a bet for me.
The total opened 52.5 and has been bet down slightly to 51.5. My fair total is 52.5, and whilst I see slight value in the over, I prefer the spread here.
NB: At the time of editing this preview, Jayden Campbell was ruled out and the spread moved to -4.5/-5.5 for the Raiders at most books. This is still a bet, however, look for the stale lines if you have a lot of outs for best price available.
Raiders -4.5

Leg 1: Raiders ML – As above, Raiders to get the chocolates on the Gold Coast.
Leg 2: H Young (1+ try) – We backed him a few weeks ago saying he’s one of the best try scoring back rowers in game, and whilst he didn’t score that week, he’s been on fire since. Hard to stop.
Leg 3: S Fifita (1+ try) – Jojo has two tries in three games and looks dangerous every time he gets a chance close to the line. The Raiders’ attack has been brilliant this season, but they are still susceptible to giving up points.
SGM Odds: $7.00 at BoomBet
