This Sunday slate offers a fun sneaky two game slate to close out Round 3 of the 2025 AFL Premiership season. Things kick off later in the day at 3:20pm AEST with a very exciting game between two of the leagues young up and coming sides in Adelaide and North Melbourne. They will clash at the Adelaide Oval, and we’ll see if North can prevent the Crows from remaining undefeated through three games. Then the night cap is out west as the Eagles take on the Dockers in a spicy matchup.
As always for us daily fantasy is the key attraction of the day and Draftstars have us covered with a suite of contests including a massive $60,000 main across the two game game slate. In addition, there are a variety of alternate contests:

Where to Attack?
We have two great game stack opportunities on this slate. The blazing hot Adelaide Crows are 39 point favourites at home against North Melbourne, a side who gave up close to the most fantasy points in the league last year especially to midfielders and opposition forwards. I will caution that North look a much stronger team this season especially through the midfield where they dismantled Melbourne last week.
The second game will see Fremantle as 26 point favourites against West Coast who last year were also in the league leaders for fantasy points to midfielders and forwards. Their back line looks severely exposed to talls without Tom Barrass and their midfield has also been well beaten through two games to start 2025.
Game Script: Adelaide game stacks – midfielder and forwards, North backs / Fremantle game stacks – midfielders and forwards
VALUE PLAYS
Harley Reid ($9,860)… this might sound like a strange option given the start Reid has had to the season. However, now is the time to take advantage of his price point and he is coming into what has been a favourable matchup for him in his short career. Last year Reid posted 80 points and 78 points in his two games against the Dockers, and I am expecting a break out game to strike this weekend after all of the media attention and also the fact that Reid had 7 frees against last week, which brought his score down from 77 to 56. Love the point of difference here for a player playing the majority of the Eagles centre bounces.
Ryan Maric ($7,360) is another sneaky value option on this slate after getting a role across half back. He took over most of the kick ins last week and returned over 10x at this price point with a 74 point game. If Fremantle get on top and win comfortably it should provide Maric with even further scoring opportunity.
MID PRICED PLAYS
Jake Soligo ($13,250) / Izak Rankine ($13,110)
Both Soligo and Rankine have had blazing starts to the season along with the majority of the Crows players. We have tipped Soligo both weeks and been rewarded with scores of 101 and 125. I won’t stop with him still under $14k as this is shaping up like another elite matchup for the Crows.
Rankine on the other hand is playing a significant amount of time through the midfield and was on track for his second 100 point game to start the season last week before being rested as the sub.
Tom Powell ($13,200) has been another gift for daily fantasy players to start this season. Playing essentially 100% through the midfield this season Powell has exploded from a fantasy perspective, racking up 121 points in Round 1 and backing that up with 98 points in Round 2. I said last week I will keep playing him all the way up to $14k price point and we haven’t hit that yet.
PREMIUM PLAYS
Luke Jackson ($14,970) will draw close to the easiest matchups in the league for rucks on this slate against West Coast who will be playing Bailey Williams and Archer Reid in the ruck. Jackson is sole rucking and we saw last week that means we can expect 100+ fantasy point returns after he posted 103 against the Swans. This should be a far easier matchup this week and in the other game we Xerri is far too over priced and O’Brien will be facing the in-form ruckman in the competition. Easy decision here.
