Super Saturdays continue for Round 19 for the 2024 AFL Premiership Season with another five massive games as the season draws closer to finals. We get underway in the early afternoon with a GWS Giants vs Gold Coast game at ENGIE Stadium. The Suns and Giants are separated by just a single game and right in the log jam for the top eight so expect this to be a heated contest. St Kilda host West Coast is a fat rats clacker at Marvel Stadium, but this is why we love daily fantasy as I can see plenty of stacks coming from this game. The afternoon gives us a classic Victorian affair between Hawthorn and Collingwood at the MCG before heading into the night games between Port Adelaide and Richmond, and Geelong and the Western Bulldogs.
Draftstars continue to offer massive prize pools with the Saturday main contest being worth $50,000 along with their usual variety of alternate contests:
- AFL $50,000+ Saturday
- AFL $5,000+ Saturday High Roller ($150 Entry)
- AFL $2,000+ Saturday Mini ($2 Entry)
The AFL Star contest is back for 2024 and Draftstars are offering the biggest prize pool in Australian DFS history with a $1 million guaranteed final with $250,000 top prize! There are qualifiers and satellites running for every AFL match, while there will also be a sprinkling of qualifiers across other sports such as NRL and NBA.
Meanwhile the 1000 AFL Target contests have had their targets slashed to just 950, so this slate is a great chance for them to be won! Enter the contest and hit the 950-point barrier with your team to scoop the jackpot!

Where to Attack?
St Kilda are on the slate, which means the most obvious play in the AFL is available. Roster backs against the Saints. They give up the most points in the league to both general defenders (over 12 points above league average) and designated kickers (over 10 points above league average). So, stack up the Eagles backs this round, and this play looks even better when you consider that the Saints are heavy favourites against West Coast this week and a real option is to stack the Saints the other way in the midfield and up forward.
The other option for a heavy game stack is Port Adelaide against Richmond. As noted above the Power are over 40-point favourites and Richmond have been giving up above average fantasy points to every position over the last 10 games.
Targeting inside midfielders against Geelong is another elite play on this slate with the Cats giving up the second most points in the league (below West Coast) to inside midfielders.
Game Script – St Kilda midfielders and forwards, West Coast backs
VALUE PLAYS
Bailey Williams ($8,970) price is nice and low for a player leading the ruck. Last week we saw he has fantasy scoring potential in this position with 94 points and 33 hit outs. This week he has a much easier matchup against the Saints who are giving up the most points in the league to rucks over the last 10 games. If you’re looking to spend up at this position instead, I would look to Tim English ($16,640) who should have his way against Sam De Koning, or you could turn to Bailey’s opponent in Rowan Marshall ($17,330) who is having a monster season.
Jayden Hunt ($9,160) has moved to the half back line with Adam Simpson gone and now they are also without Liam Duggan who typically controls the ball for them in that half of the ground. This opens up plenty of scoring potential with West Coast backs to stack up with given that as noted above St Kilda give up the most points in the league to defenders.
If you’re looking for value plays up forward, look to Port Adelaide or St Kilda players with the likes of Mitch Georgiades ($8,900) or Charlie Dixon ($8,880) good options against the Tigers, or Mitch Owens ($7,450) for a breakout game and possible midfield time for the Saints.
MID PRICED PLAYS
Plenty of options through the mid-tier on this slate. Matthew Rowell ($12,860) is well overdue for a big game through the middle, while the likes of Jason Horne-Francis ($12,890) or Mason Wood ($12,970) offer upside in a full game stacks of either Port Adelaide or St Kilda.
PREMIUM PLAYS
Zak Butters ($16,320) / Connor Rozee ($15,760) stand out as obvious premium targets on this slate against the Tigers. Richmond will be without tagger Jack Graham, which will ease any concerns about either getting locked down, and both players have been in exceptional form with Butters average 136 points from his last three games and Rozee going at 115 points per game during that same stretch.
If you’re looking for the Saints stacks, the midfield will start and end with Jack Steele ($15,570) and Jack Sinclair ($15,860) with the third option being a potential value play in Zak Jones ($9,130) or Hunter Clark ($10,200) to round out their rotations.
