Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday, June 15th 2024
Race 3: Tab Highway Hcp Class 3 1400m – 12:10pm (AEST)
(3) Silver Halo $15.00/$3.80: 3YO filly who has been terrific with 3 wins from 4 outings. Won well first up where she took the rails run to salute. Unbeaten on the weather effected tracks and looks ready to go on with it here second up and out to 1400m. Rates well too. Each way chance.
(2) Know Thyself $1.90: 3YO out of The Autumn Sun and has proved to be a classy type and expect him to be right in this here, but the price is too short for my liking.
(1) Shihab $35.00: Solid 4yo, but can be very inconsistent. Unbeaten on the heavy track, so if the rain comes he is a big chances, but needs to be run on a slop before id be backing him straight out. Can play a role though.
(3) Silver Halo E/W
$15.00/$3.80 (1 Unit)
Race 8: Kia Winter Cup 2400m 3:05pm (AEST)
(1) Sir Lucan $4.00: 6YO who was backed last week to win and failed to fire a shot. Confident he is better than that and will only be fitter now for this run. Gets back onto a soft track will be helpful and deserves another win.
(2) Hopeful $3.10: 7YO who was unlucky to not win last start where he was held up during the run. Looks suited out to 2400m here and is rock hard fit with terrific weather effected form. Goes well.
(7) Point King $9.50/$2.80: They have climbed out of trees to back this one in the early market and is worth a crack. McEvoy for Lees looks a nice combo and proven second up and over the distance. Must be respected.
(1) Sir Lucan
$4.00 (1 Unit)
Race 10: Rosehill Bowling Club BM78 1300m– 4:25pm (AEST)
(1) Ang Pow $15.00/$4.40: 5YO who got the job done last outing at big odds. Remains at that distance now and gets a nice claim which puts him right in this. It’s been a few weeks between runs, so expect another bold run. Draws a sticky gate, but with some early speed hopefully he can get to the front and roll on to dictate the race to his liking. Over the odds.
(14) Step Aside $4.20: Resuming 4YO who has a terrific 1300m record along with being strong first up. Yet to win on a weather effected track, but the main danger here.
(10) Elson Boy $6.50/$2.40: 4YO who has won 5 on the trot. 4 wins from 5 attempts over 1300m and 50% strike rate on the wet tracks. Gets in light with a 3kg claim and Chelsea Hillier has won twice on him. Appears to be going great guns, but this is tougher again. Must be respected off the previous runs.
(1) Ang Pow E/W
$15.00/$4.40 (1U/2U)
