The Valley will host a massive 10-race program on Saturday for the last metropolitan meeting of the year in Victoria. The weather has been clearing up since Boxing Day and the track is likely to be a Good 4. The first race starts at 12:15pm (AEDT) with the last concluding a touch after 5:40pm. My four best bets are below and let’s hope we can end 2023 with some profit.

Moonee Valley Racing Tips: Saturday, December 30th 2023
Race 2: The Cirka Care Handicap - 12:35pm (AEDT)
(2) A Little Deep won at her only start over this distance and she has run top 3 in all career starts. She won on a Good track at Moe after coming from midfield and Moe and from barrier 7 she will probably settle midfield again. She is at The Valley for the first time and has Celien Gaudray on for the first time.
(4) It’s My Turn has drawn in 3 and she has placed at big odds her last two starts. She is very fit now and this is her favourite distance.
(6) Kusini led and won at Caulfield on December 14 and she may lead again here. Did win at her only start on the Dry.
(7) Hissy Fit goes well here and was unlucky last start. She has placed twice at this track previously.

Race 5: Ladbroke It! Handicap - 2:30pm (AEDT)
(1) Dunkel was 2nd at Caulfield on November 18 but he was first up then. He is fitter now and has had a jumpout since so has more miles in the legs. He has his preferred Dry track here where he has won 5 from 8 and he has won over this distance before. He has raced in harder races than this and he should position up nicely from barrier 1.
(5) Independent Road hasn’t done his best racing here but he did win well (a nose) at Ballarat last start. He is very experienced and will settle on pace in this one.
(6) Stars of Carrum has raced on Good tracks in 30 of his 38 starts but has only won one of them. Can handle it through having placed on 8 occasions.
(7) Tycoon Bec loves Good tracks and is having her first run at The Valley.
(1) Dunkel

Race 8: Blake Albones Memorial Handicap - 4:20pm (AEDT)
(9) Pitchanun was close enough to the winner at Caulfield when 5th (2.2L) and before that he rocketed home in the Dunkeld Cup for 3rd. He does get back in his races but is super fit now and despite having only winning 1 of 20 on the Dry, he has placed on 9 occasions. The track is the key here as he seems to run his best races here.
(8) Galilaeus is 2 from 2 on the Good and he won a Colac trial 2 weeks ago. He has come over from Overseas and should be settled in now.
(10) Deel Blaster has drawn well here (2) and may lead here. He did just that two starts ago here when 2nd.
(11) Divine Purpose has won 3 from 7 starts on the Dry. Forget his 6th at Ballarat when on the Heavy.

Race 10: Happy New Year From The Valley Handicap - 5:40pm (AEDT)
(4) Port Albert has been traveling around a bit but has been racing well for the Ryan stable. From barrier 7 Rhys McLeod might try and lead this field and if he can do so and control the speed, he can be in this for a long way at good odds. He is 1 from 1 at The Valley and that win was three starts back where Blake Shinn got him to lead from barrier 10.
(2) Jungle Jim has drawn inside and will either lead or sit behind the leader you would think. He has won 5 from 11 on the Dry which is the key. Gaudray rides for the first time.
(6) Kin was 2nd when replaced as favourite last start and it is suggested that he will be better this time. First try at The Valley.
(7) Miss Middle Park likes Good tracks and was only beaten 1.85L in the ALinghi Stakes three starts back which is order than this.
(8) Along The River likes Good tracks and from barrier 4 should get a gun run in around 4th place on the outside.
