Bendigo Racing Tips: Wednesday, November 1st 2023
Race 1: BRB Electrical Maiden Plate - 12:30pm (AEDT)
(11) Alectona will be fitter third up and despite only being fair in her last start when a beaten favourite (2nd) at Ballarat, she does look to get the gun run in this race. The extra distance should suit and she is well suited to this class. Inside draw may help.
(10) Victory Command got too far back at Cranbourne when 4th last start and will likely settle closer to the speed here.
(9) Lambay had no luck at Kyneton last start when 4th.
(8) Big Jimma is one for the Dee’s fans and was well backed on debut when 5th. Improvement expected.
(11) Alectona - Win
$3.20 (1 Unit)
Race 4: 38th Battalion Bm70 Handicap – 2:10pm (AEDT)
(3) Big Brew has probably gotten too far back in his last couple at Caulfield but has still run well in both races. He is very fit now and Jordan Childs has run two 2nds on him previously. He is slightly down in class but his winning strike rate is only fair so we would want each-way odds.
(4) All So Clear has won 3 races over this distance and should run well again. He is going for 3 on the bounce and is very consistent.
(1) Wisaka run well at the jumpouts and goes well first up. One at odds.
(2) Angry Skies was just fair last start at Morphettville when a beaten favourite. Place chance though.
(3) Big Brew - E/W
$5.50/$2.10 (1 Unit)
Race 7: Apiam Animal Health Bendigo Cup Group 3 - 4pm (AEDT)
(2) Hezashocka wasn’t disgraced last start in the Caulfield Stakes when 7th and the Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr gelding is definitely up to this class. This distance is fine too and from barrier 4 he should position up nicely in the run landing about 6th early. A Good track is a query though so we might have more on the Place side of things with this Bet. He has never raced at Bendigo but being 4th up from a spell he should be ready to fire for Damien Oliver.
(1) Lunacies comes over from Sydney for his Melbourne campaign and is fit now. He loves this distance and the drier the better.
(7) Interpretation might enjoy the long Bendigo straight because he does have a powerful finish on him and he will be able to wind up. A Good track suits but it has been more than 2 years since he won.
(11) Pesto has drawn the carpark (15) and is probably just a Place chance after that horrible draw.
(2) Hezashocka - E/W
$6/$2.30 (1u/3u)
Race 9: bet365 (MCC Series Heat 8) - 5:20pm (AEDT)
(6) Chartres has been an annoying horse to bet on but does usually go around at good odds like he does here. His 2nd up form is good (2 wins) and from barrier 11 can come with one sustained run down the outside to blow them out in the last. Beau Mertens is back on and he has won on him previously.
(7) Belthill scored by a neck at The Valley last start and has won 4 from 5 on Dry ground.
(4) Suparazi has won 4 from 11 over this distance and likes Good tracks. Has been to Bendigo before for 1 2nd.
(9) Blow In has drawn wide in 13 but will go back anyway. Will be one of the best ones home late.
(6) Chartres - E/W
$26/$5.50 (0.5u)
