Sha Tin Racing Tips: Sunday October 15th
Race 1: Wo Che Hcp (C5) – 2000m (16:00 AEDT)
(1) Kyrus Unicorn had his race ruined last start and may have finished close to the winner with more luck. Hugh Bowman on today and maps well in the small field. Can fill the minors at worst but is a nice price to take on this favourite
(3) Splendid Star won last start and is in a rich vein of form. Zac Purton is aboard and should position this horse nicely to win. Will be hard to beat but is short.
(4) Fiery Flying goes in for 3rd. Is 2nd elect in the market and should be thereabouts.

Race 4: Sun Tin Wai Hcp (C4) – 1400m (17:30 AEDT)
(1) Top Top Tea will go close here if he can roll across and find a position 1 off the rail near the lead. Zac Purton rides and the horse has trialled tremendously well for his return.
(2) Leslie dropped in class last start and now gets a big claim for Angus Chung so is incredibly well rated and weighted in this event. Expect a good performance.
(5) Always Fluke was impressive winning 1st up from behind horses. He’s drawn wide here and may not get as much luck as he did last start. That said, he’s not out of this.

Race 5: Sun Tin Wai Hcp (C4) – 1400m (18:00 AEDT)
(13) Young Horizon ran exceptionally well 1st up considering he was drawn wide and forced to go to the back of the field and run on. He’s drawn barrier 1 here in a huge turn around and gets the services of Zac Purton. Should win or go very close.
(8) Noble Pursuit was good last time and unlucky to only finish 4th but is drawn wide this time and may struggle to perform with a tough run on the cards. One of the main hopes on raw ability.
(11) Natural Gold is a talented horse. Hasn’t been able to win as much as he’s placed so far in his career but with a good draw here expect a solid run.
(13) Young Horizon e/w

Race 9: Mei Tin Hcp (C3) – 1400m (20:15 AEDT)
(6) Joyful Hunter should’ve won against Lucky Encounter last time. He’s an undefeated horse in my books and is deserving of a much higher rating than he’s currently on. Neutral draw, with even luck he wins here.
(2) Taj Dragon had every opportunity 1st up and will need to improve drastically to win against Joyful Hunter here. No reason he can’t improve 2nd up though.
(11) Big Red is on a place streak and can run well again here from gate 5. Expect a solid performance.
