Brisbane Broncos
A new leader of the Power Rankings following their 54-10 demolition of the Eels. A tight first quarter suggested that the game would be close but when they clicked into another gear, the Broncos class was on display. They now have a Bye and are in a great position to win the Minor Premiership.

Penrith Panthers
Unlucky to drop a position following their 24-12 win over the Sea Eagles. While not their best performance, they did what was required and looked fairly good doing it. The Titans are ahead in Round 25 as they look to keep themselves in contention to win the Minor Premiership.

New Zealand Warriors
Did what was needed to defeat the Tigers but would’ve wanted a more polished performance. Easily the better team, the Warriors need to avoid slipping back into poor habits. They have a challenge ahead in hosting a Sea Eagles team which has nothing to play for next week.

Melbourne Storm
Gave the Raiders a lesson in execution. The Storm appear to be back to their best form and at the right time of the season. They head on the road to face the Dragons but if their recent form is anything to go by, it should offer little trouble.

Newcastle Knights
Mark another strong performance up for the Knights. Arguably the form team of the competition, nothing appears to be worrying the Knights as they hammered the Bulldogs 42-6. They host the Rabbitohs next week in their toughest test to date.

Cronulla Sharks
Continued their winning form (and momentum) with a strong display against the Titans. Never giving their opponents an opportunity, the Sharks looked like they were playing with confidence again. They need to keep this going against the Cowboys in Townsville.

South Sydney Rabbitohs
Did enough to defeat the Dragons 26-14 but something is still missing. A very capable team, their completion rate is letting them down. They need to overturn this if they are to regain consistency. They travel to Newcastle next week for a real test of where they are at.

North Queensland Cowboys
Had the Bye in Round 24 to recover from their loss to the Broncos a week earlier. The equation for them is simple: win and keep your Finals hopes alive or lose and be knocked out of contention. A Finals preview awaits as they host the Sharks in Round 25.

Sydney Roosters
Playing with confidence and getting closer to looking like the team everyone expected them to be in 2023. They have left their run late though and need to build on their 30-14 win over the Dolphins in their next match against the Eels.

Parramatta Eels
No match for the Broncos and now sit outside of the Top 8, with Mitchell Moses likely to miss this week. They host the Roosters with both teams having their season to play for. A much better effort from their forwards is needed in the middle.

Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles
Tried hard against the Panthers but were outplayed by a better team. The loss shut the door on their Finals hopes and now, with pride on the line, they head over to New Zealand to face a strong Warriors team.

Canberra Raiders
Were given a reality check by the Storm in their 48-2 loss in Melbourne. If similar performances continue, they are a chance of dropping out of the Top 8 altogether. The Bulldogs come at an ideal time for them in their quest to feature in the Finals.

Gold Coast Titans
Hammered by the Sharks and fading out as expected. They were poor in that game and their hope of finishing the season on a positive doesn’t get any easier with a match against the Panthers.

The Dolphins
Tried hard against the Roosters but again, they were let down by their defence. They have now won just 1 game in their past 9 matches and have the Tigers waiting in Round 25. If they’re not careful, they could lose that game too.

St George-Illawarra Dragons
Had the Bye in Round 23 and would’ve relished the opportunity to rest ahead of their remaining matches. They are building into 2024 and need positive performances to carry momentum into the preseason.

Wests Tigers
Competitive against the Warriors, earning the right to lift of the rankings ladder. They are performing better now than they have for majority of the season. A winnable game against the Dolphins awaits with only a slight chance that they could avoid the ‘wooden spoon’.

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
Outclassed by the Knights for 80 minutes. A disappointing performance considering they had the Bye in Round 23; a troubling sign for this team moving forward. 3 more games to build momentum into 2024.
