Bournemouth vs Manchester United

Manchester United continue their quest for a top four finish and Champions League qualification when they head to Bournemouth this weekend. The Red Devils bounced back from a two-game losing streak with a win at home against Wolves last time out, which steadied the ship. As it stands, they’re one point ahead of Liverpool in fifth but have a game in hand.
Bournemouth went on a fantastic run after the halfway point of the season and had a stretch where they won six out of nine games. That run shot them up the ladder and ensured they’ll be staying in the Premier League for at least another season.
The Cherries look to have taken their foot off the gas in recent weeks after securing their safety from relegation. They failed to register a single shot on target against Crystal Palace last weekend and they certainly aren’t anywhere near as good as United. Meanwhile, United have it all to play for and their motivation levels will be high as a result, which is why I fancy them to win this match by at least two goals.

Liverpool vs Aston Villa

It’s been a disappointing season for Liverpool considering how high expectations were at the beginning. However, they’re absolutely flying at the minute and are still a live chance of finishing in the top four and qualifying for the Champions League. Liverpool come into Matchday 37 riding a seven-game win streak, which includes three clean sheets in a row.
Aston Villa won only one of their first 11 games in the league this season and looked as though they’d be fighting the relegation battle. Since then, they’ve been a totally different team and now find themselves fighting for a spot in the Europa League. Villa secured a big three points at home against the Spurs last weekend, which was a necessary way to bounce back from two losses in a row.
Liverpool are sizzling at the moment but a lot of their wins during their current streak have come against bottom half sides. They now come up against a Villa outfit that simply cannot be underestimated. This should be a cracking match between two teams that are in desperate need of a win, so you can expect both teams to be looking to play positive football and push numbers forward when opportunities arise. With that in mind, I like the odds of this being a high-scoring game where both teams find the back of the net.

Manchester City have a chance to sew up yet another league title this weekend when they take on Chelsea at the Etihad. The Citizens need just one more win from their last three matches, but will obviously want to get the job done this weekend to avoid a couple of nervous final two games. They enter this fixture in incredible form having won 11 straight league matches, as well as defeating Real Madrid 4-0 midweek in the Champions League.
Chelsea have had a season from hell and will be looking forward to regrouping in the off-season. They have a lot of decisions to make both with their squad and with their staff to take the club forward. They’ve won only one of their last nine league matches, and that came two weeks ago away at Bournemouth.
The Etihad will be absolutely buzzing for this fixture as they hope to see their team secure another league title. On current form, they couldn’t really ask for a better team to play against because the Blues are struggling immensely. I can’t see this match resulting in anything other than an easy win for the soon-to-be champions.
