Sandown Racing Tips: Wednesday December 7th
Race 2
(4) Roc De Russian will go around at nice odds here for Ken & Kasey Keys with Craig Newitt on board, fresh after the birth of his fifth son at the weekend. The four-year-old gelding was unlucky at Moe when third last start after starting second favourite and is over the odds in this race. He ran third at New Zealand on debut before coming over to Australia where now he should be fit after recent jumpouts and the Moe third. From barrier 10, Froggy Newitt will likely have to come over and sit in the one-one position.
(3) Rheinberg is making his debut for the Hayes team so has to be respected.
(9) Cortes was fair on debut at The Valley when third and may appreciate a wider track.
(10) Naval Destroyer will need to improve to win for the Moody team but will benefit from his recent sixth at Moe after starting second favourite.

Race 3
(1) Riverplate was scratched at Geelong last weekend despite having only won one race from 10 starts, he has placed four times on Good tracks. He is up to 60kg now but did carry 59.5kg three weeks ago when breaking his maiden at Ladbrokes Park (Sandown). He led on that occasion and Shinn may try and do the same tactics again in this race. The Busuttin & Young team raced him four times in Listed races last campaign, so they do have a high opinion of him. This is easier. From barrier one he is the likely leader in this race.
(3) Ultimate Kiss has been racing consistently and may like a larger track here. He is on the quick back up and should sit around third in the run.
(7) Gabstar goes well second up and likes dry tracks. From barrier two, Daniel Moor will likely try and sit behind Riverplate or three back the rails.
(2) Obfuscation ran on well for second last start and will appreciate the rise in distance.
(1) Riverplate WIN
$1.75 (4 Units)
Race 4
(3) St Lawrence is resuming after winning both starts last prep. Both runs were on rain-affected going and so was his latest jumpout. Trained by Maher & Eustace though we will assume he goes alright on it; he may even go better? Johnny Allen takes the ride, and it is likely he has sat on top of him before. From barrier four Johnny will likely push forward and despite having 61.5 kg to contend with, all but one of his rivals is carrying 58kg or higher.
(8) Ruggiero will be the one running on strongly if they go too hard up front. Won at Donald last start after starting fav and he was still fourth with 100m to go.
(9) Miss Cabaret is fitter now and has won two of four on the Dry. Jack Hill knows her well and should get a good cart into the race.
(2) Rich Divinity goes better on wet ground, but this is an easier race than last time.
(3) St Lawrence WIN
$2.40 (3 Units)
Race 8
(2) Lina’s Legend was poor last start, but they weren't running on either and he is a run-on type. Two runs ago he was sixth but only 2.95L behind Snapper and Najem Suhail, who won well at Pakenham on Saturday. Damien Oliver takes the ride and with a bit of pace on i think the Legend can run on very well late.
(6) Saucey Horsey likes wet tracks better but will give them something to catch out front.
(8) Knock Knock will be making his run with Lina’s Legend but barrier 14 is a slight concern. She is pretty fresh and in good hands with the rise in distance suiting as should the dry surface.
(1) Free to Move goes pretty good second up having won twice before from five attempts.
(2) Lina’s Legend WIN
$13.00 (1 Unit)
