It’s a rare Twilight meeting this Friday at Randwick with seven strong races on the program.
With the nice weather continuing in Sydney we should expect perfect racing conditions on a good 4 surface.

Randwick-Kensington Racing Tips: Friday December 2nd
Race 1
Going to give (1) Oriental Tycoon one more chance here and while he has been costly to the punters, he looks well placed to break through. James McDonald sticks in the saddle and getting back onto his home track will suit. From gate 2 he should land in a stalking position and he has his hoof on the till ready to win one. I do think he can progress through the grades but just needs that first confidence-building win.
(2) Straight Acer was an awesome run on debut when being beaten by the smallest of margins by a handy enough Godolphin horse. Bound to be improved of that performance and the rise to 1400m looks to suit. If he can handle the tight Kenso track then he looks the main danger.
(7) Skylight Song is another horse who looks very close to breaking through for a maiden win. He can probably lead them up here and should be hard fit and tough to run down.
(4) Joyrider comes out of the same race as Straight Acer and wasn’t beaten far. Should be a big improver 2nd up.
(1) Oriental Tycoon

Race 2
(3) Marelle was quickly put away following a very strong debut effort at this track/trip back in August. Has looked good at a recent trial and McDonald sticks for the ride from that. She draws to be wide with some cover and can hopefully track something into the race and be too strong late. She looks a bit more progressive than most of these.
(1) Magic Carpet has mixed it with some of the top line juveniles throughout her career and this looks the easiest race she’s contested. With an apprentice claim she gets in well at the weights and can win.
(2) Doubtless Lady is open to improvement having just her 2nd start. She ran better than her price suggested on debut and up to 1300m will aid her chances.
(8) Ballon Beau should be ready to peak now 3rd up from a spell. She draws well and expect will see every chance in the run.
(3) Marelle

Race 7
Think (3) Baltic Coast will prove hard to beat after a very good first up run behind a handy enough horse. He’s only missed the quinella once from six starts and swaps an apprentice for McDonald. 2nd up, rising in trip are all ticks and I think he will prove hard to beat.
(15) Cloudland just got the job done as a very short favourite last time we saw him and he will look to protect his unbeaten record here tonight. Has had a little freshen up since that last run and he looks a decent EW hope.
(5) Aramis has had three trials to get him ready for a return to the track and that means 1400m first up should be just fine. He was beaten less than two lengths by Wicklow in a strong bm78 at the end of last prep.
(3) Baltic Coast
