The NBA picks have been on fire of late, so if you’re not following, you’re missing out. Let’s see if we can pick some more winners today.
2022-23 NBA Betting Tips: Saturday 19th November
Milwaukee Bucks at Philadelphia 76ers
Wells Fargo Center, 11:30am AEDT
These two teams face off for the second time this season, with the Bucks claiming a tight 90-88 home victory over the 76ers less than a month ago. The 76ers have been improving since this loss, whilst the Bucks have been sputtering of late, winning only 2 of their last 5 after starting 9-0. Superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has been in and out of the line-up in that time, and is clearly playing hurt, failing to score 30 points in his past 4 games.
Joel Embiid on the other hand has been dominating, highlighted by his last game against the Utah Jazz, where the big man went for 59 points in the 76ers 105-98 win. The 76ers have had 5 days rest since their last game, and I really like them to win here. But that’s not where the best bet will come from in this game.
These two teams are two of the absolute best in the league defensively. They currently rank 1st (Bucks) and 4th (76ers) in defensive efficiency. The earlier game between these two saw only 178 points scored. My fair for this game is 206, with the over/under currently sitting at 218.5. An easy bet on the under for me in this game
Under 218.5 Points
$1.91 (2 Units)
Boston Celtics at New Orleans Pelicans
Smoothie King Center, 12:30pm AEDT
We’ve been betting Celtics’ overs all season, and I see no reason to change that here. These teams currently rank 1st and 5th in offensive efficiency in the league, with the Celtics currently averaging 120.4 points per game, good for first in the league, and the Pelicans averaging 116.7 (5th).
The only concern I may have with this handicap is the possible loss of Zion Williamson for the Pelicans, however I don’t see it effecting the scoring in this game. With both teams scoring for fun, I make this total 236.5. With the total currently sitting at 227, I’ve got to bet the over.
Over 227 Points
$1.91 (2 Units)
New York Knicks at Golden State Warriors
Chase Center, 2:00pm AEDT
The Warriors have started playing like the Warriors, after their east coast road trip had them struggling at 3-7. They’ve been a different beast at home, going 6-1 (compared to 0-8 away).
Again, I like the over in this game, but I’m leaning more on the Warriors scoring as opposed to the Knicks. I’m worried the Warriors defence will do enough to shut the Knicks down, and the full game total may struggle as a result. In their past 3 home games, the Warriors have slowly begun to show more of their 2021/22 defence. They aren’t at that level yet; however, I can see them shutting the Knicks down in this spot.
Not as convinced with this bet, so the outlay will be a little smaller, but I see the Warriors getting into the high 120’s a lot of the time in this situation. I’ll take their team total to go over.
Golden State Warriors (team total) over 120.5
$1.90 (1 Unit)
