The PGA Tour regular season wraps up this weekend as we head to Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina for the annual Wyndham Championship. We hit a few winners on the the PGA Tour and beyond last week and we’ll be hunting more as we preview the Wyndham Championship below.

Wyndham Championship Betting Tips

The Field
This week marks the last chance for PGA Tour golfers to earn the all important FedEx Cup points required to get them into the playoffs and/or give them a good seeding to make a deep run. Only the top 125 players on the standings will qualify for the opening tournament of the playoffs, and there are some big names sitting just outside that mark who will be looking to earn the required points this week.
Those include the likes of Webb Simpson, Rickie Fowler, Danny Willett, Cameron Champ and Zach Johnson.
Heading the field will be some big names including Will Zalatoris, Justin Rose, Billy Herschel, Kevin Kisner, Adam Scott and Shane Lowry. Korean Sungjae Im has a great chance to move into the FedEx Cup top 10 with a strong performance in North Carolina.
The Course
Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina has been the host of the Wyndham Championship since all the way back in the 2008 season. The 14 events that have been held there have resulted in 14 different winners, the most recent of which was Kevin Kisner, who won in a six-man playoff hole.
This will be the 2nd consecutive Donald Ross designed course played on the PGA Tour after the Rocket Mortgage Classic was won by Tony Finau at the Detroit Golf Club last week. Opened in the 1920s, the course has gone through many different iterations and will play as a Par 70 at just over 7,100 yards this week.

Sedgefield has been Webb Simpson’s personal stomping ground over the years that it has hosted the Wyndham Championship. He won the event back in 2011 and in his 12 other trips to Greensboro he has racked up a ridiculous 11 cuts made and nine top 10 finishes. Made the cut at the Rocket Mortgage last week but should be much more confident at Sedgefield.
Russel Henley

Henley has been extremely solid at Sedgefiled in his last three trips there, finishing 31st back in 2019 before recorded back to back top 10 finishes the past two seasons. He also brings some good form into the tournament with a T10 at the Rocket Mortgage last week.
Chesson Hadley
(Top 40 $3.20 - 1.5 Units)
Missed the cut at the Rocket Mortgage last week but was in great form prior to that with a 5th at the Travelers, T10 at the John Deere, T68 at the Barbasol, T31 at the Barracuda and T10 at the 3M in consecutive weeks. Also has solid form at Sedgefield with four straight made cuts and a T15 in the most recent edition. Like the value for a top 40 place this week, along with……
Rory Sabbatini

Much like Simpson, Sedgefield has been a happy hunting ground for Sabbatini over recent years. He has three top 10 finishes in the past five years there and also brings decent form into the event with made cuts in six of his last eight.
