EPL Matchday 26 Betting Tips
West Ham vs Newcastle
Saturday 19th February, 11.30pm (AEDT)
Eddie Howe has given Newcastle it’s first bit of breathing space in the relegation battle, with the Magpies 1-0 win over Aston Villa last week moving them four points clear of the relegation zone. They now face a tough challenge away against West Ham, who are two points from fourth place. Craig Dawson’s stoppage time goal secured a crucial point in a frustrating 2-2 draw against Leicester in the Hammers last outing.
Despite Newcastle’s recent form, West Ham will be confident that they will be able to get a hold of this game in their front third. Newcastle have the 18th ranked defence in the Premier League this season, conceding 44 goals. In contrast, West Ham are the 4th highest scoring team in the Premier League this season, scoring 44 goals.
Although Newcastle have won three consecutive matches it’s important to note they have come against 12th placed Aston Villa, 15th placed Leeds and 16th placed Everton. The Magpies have been a poor side away from home this season, with a 1-3-6 record on the road this season. Michail Antonio and Jarrad Bowen are going to be a handful for the Newcastle defence to handle, and the Hammers will put an end to their winning streak.
Manchester City vs Tottenham
Sunday 20th February, 4.30am (AEDT)
On the back of three consecutive losses, Tottenham face the dreaded task of travelling to the Etihad to take on Manchester City. A comprehensive 4-0 victory over Norwich on Matchday 25 extended the league leaders unbeaten run to fifteen games. Since their 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace back in October 2021, Manchester City have gone 14-1-0 in a run that looks destined to secure them back to back titles, and their fourth in five seasons.
Tottenham’s last two defeats have come at the hands of Southampton and Wolves, with the momentum gained after Antonio Conte’s arrival drastically fizzing away. Spurs have conceded nine goals in their last four games, and now have the challenge of trying to contain the best attacking side in the Premier League. City have scored a league high 62 goals this season and have had sixteen different goal scorers, the equal most in the Premier League.
To pair with their incredible attack City also have the best defence in the Premier League this season, having conceded just 14 goals. It’s a star studded side that is balanced at both ends of the pitch, and Pep Guardiola has his side firing on all cylinders. Man City are 10-1-1 at home this season, and won’t have any troubles taking care of Spurs.

Leeds United vs Manchester United
Monday 21st February, 1.00am (AEDT)
Leeds and Manchester United will add another chapter to their historic rivalry on Monday morning as the Red Devils travel to Elland Road. Leeds have found their second season back in the Premier League a difficult challenge, sitting in 15th place with a 2-1-5 record from their last eight games. Leeds are coming off a 3-0 defeat against an Everton side that had won only one of their previous fifteen games heading into the clash.
Manchester United picked up a much needed 2-0 victory over Brighton during the week, moving themselves into fourth place. The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last six games, with three wins and three draws. Since Leeds’ promotion back to the Premier League in 2020, Manchester United have scored goals against them for fun. In their last three meetings Manchester United have a 2-1-0 record against Leeds, with those two victories coming with 6-2 and 5-1 scorelines.
Leeds have the 19th ranked defence in the Premier League this season having conceded 46 goals, and they face a massive challenge to prevent another big loss against the Red Devils. Manchester United are the fifth highest scoring team in the Premier League this season with 40 goals, and they’ll be desperate to keep a hold of fourth place on the Premier League table.
