BBL11 Renegades vs Scorchers Betting Tips
Marvel Stadium, Wednesday 22nd December, 7.15pm
Melbourne Renegades
Predicted XI: Aaron Finch, Mack Harvey, Nic Maddinson, Sam Harper, Jake Fraser-Mcgurk, Mohammad Nabi, Will Sutherland, Jack Prestwidge, Kane Richardson, Reece Topley, Zahir Khan
Conservatively, we have left James Pattinson out of our predicted line-up because he is still slated as a 50-50 to recover from injury in time. However, should he be fit, he will almost certainly come into the line-up, most likely at the expense of Jack Prestwidge.
The Gades will also be massively boosted by the return of opening batsman Aaron Finch. Finch will likely take up his role at the top of the order, but don’t be completely surprised if he lets Sam Harper and Mack Harvey continue their partnership at the top, as they have been working quite well. Either way, Finch probably comes in at the expense of hometown hero James Seymour, who has looked a little shaky throughout the first three games.
Perth Scorchers
Predicted XI: Kurtis Patterson, Josh Inglis, Mitch Marsh, Colin Munro, Ashton Turner, Laurie Evans, Ashton Agar, Andrew Tye, Jason Behrendorff, Peter Hatzoglou, Tymal Mills
Pretty hard to fault anything the Scorchers have done so far this season. They are 3-0 in BBL11 and sit atop the table. In those three games, they have had three different batsmen in Colin Munro, Mitch Marsh and Kurtis Patterson play match winning innings respectively, while their bowling unit has been really in sync.
Jhye Richardson will remain with the Australian team so will be out for this game, but the Scorchers have plenty of depth in the fast bowling department, with Tymal Mills, Jason Behrendorff and Andrew Tye leading the way. Mitch Marsh was also back bowling on Monday night against the Hurricanes to further bolster the stocks.
Match Prediction
The Renegades are just 1-2 on the season and sit at the bottom of the table, but I actually think they have looked a little bit better than their record suggests. They are finally starting to get some production out of the youngsters that they have been developing over the last few seasons in the likes of Harvey, Fraser-McGurk and Sutherland, and should continue to improve with the additions of Pattinson, Finch and potentially Shaun Marsh down the line.
Unfortunately for the Gades, they run into a juggernaut in the Scorchers at the wrong time, as Perth are just firing on all cylinders at the moment. They made it look easy on Monday night against the Hurricanes, and while winning the toss and batting certainly was a big help, you can’t deny that they have been the better team in all three of their games so far. Can’t see them losing this one either. Not a lot of meat left on the bone with the Scorchers paying just $1.51 to win, but with their batting form at the moment, I’m happy to multi the H2H up with Perth to score 145+ runs, a total they have cruised past in all three of their matches so far.

Same Game Multi
It’s pretty much take your pick with the Scorchers batsmen when building your same game multi at the moment. Not only have Munro, Marsh and Patterson already played fantastic innings, but the likes of Laurie Evans, Ashton Agar and Ashton Turner have also already chipped in with handy runs.
I like multi’ing up Marsh and Munro both to score 10+ runs here. Munro averages a very healthy 43.50 at Marvel Stadium while Mitch Marsh is arguably the most in form white ball batsman in the country at the moment.
Once again, we are finishing off our multi with the first wicket of the match to be caught. It’s a set and forget at this point, with 12/16 games saluting at the time of writing.
