Adelaide Oval will get it’s first taste of the BBL11 this Thursday night as the Strikers and Renegades do battle for the 2nd time in just three days from 7.15pm.

BBL11 Strikers vs Renegades Betting Tips
Adelaide Strikers
Predicted XI: Jake Weatherald, Harry Nielsen, Matthew Short, Jono Wells, ______, Liam Scott, George Garton, Rashid Khan, Wes Agar, Peter Siddle, Daniel Worrall
It was a tough night for the Strikers on Tuesday, as they not only lost the game but also talented middle order batsman Ryan Gibson to a hamstring injury. Gibson went down during the Strikers run-chase and will likely be out for the next few games at least, and at the moment, their squad doesn’t have another batsman to come in, with Travis Head, Alex Carey and Matt Renshaw all unavailable.
It’s not certain whether the Strikers will make any other changes to their line-up, as their bowling attack looked pretty solid on Tuesday night, particularly opening pair Daniel Worrall and George Garton, who picked up four wickets between them at good economy rates.
Melbourne Renegades
Predicted XI: Aaron Finch, Sam Harper, Mackenzie Harvey, Jake Fraser-Mcgurk, James Seymour, Mohammad Nabi, Will Sutherland, James Pattinson, Kane Richardson, Reece Topley, Zahir Khan
The big question over the Renegades line-up is the potential return of Aaron Finch. The hard-hitting opener was listed as a game time decision for the season opener on Tuesday night, so with an extra two days rest, we are expecting him to be right for this one. James Seymour would have been the likely batsman making way but after an impressive 23 against the Strikers, I think it might be Merlo instead now.
Nic Maddinson will miss one more game with Australia A duties before rejoining the team as captain for their third clash.
Match Prediction
There’s no doubt the Strikers are one of the best teams on paper when they have Alex Carey and Travis Head in the line-up. Without them though, their top six looks extremely thin. It’ll get even thinner now with the loss of Gibson for this clash. With Renshaw out as well, they’ll likely need to make a special signing from the lower grades to replace him.
One thing the Strikers do have going for them, however, is their bowling unit. Daniel Worrall, George Garton, Wes Agar, Peter Siddle and Rashid Khan make up one of the best attacks in the game, one that is capable of keeping any team to 140 or less.
I think it took the Renegades best effort to push their score up to 150 on the weekend, which is a score that probably wont win you many BBL games. Peter Siddle was uncharacteristically expensive in that game, I think there is room for improvement on the bowling side for the Strikers, and fully expect them to bounce back at home on Thursday night.
Same Game Multi
The first two legs of out multi will contain two pretty cautious batsman to clear the 10 run mark. Sam Harper made 33 off 28 balls on Tuesday night to get the Renegades off to a good start, and has cleared the 10 run mark in 68% of his BBL games to date.
Jono Wells has been one of the most consistent batsman in the BBL over the last few years. He has scored 10+ in 78% of his BBL games and should have more responsibility this year with no Carey or Head in the lineup.
The final leg of our multi is for the first wicket method to be caught. This has occurred in all three games in BBL11 at the time of writing, and in those three games, a whopping 34/42 wickets in total have been caught.
