Crystal Palace vs Chelsea

The heat has come on Chelsea after copping a 5-2 thrashing from West Brom. The loss was further compounded by the fact they surrendered fourth spot to West Ham. They get their opportunity to redeem themselves when they take on London rivals Crystal Palace. Palace have struggled of late, having won just one of their past six league games. Chelsea have a golden opportunity to get back into the top four, coming up against a side languishing in twelfth place.
Chelsea have dominated Palace in recent times, winning six consecutive Premier League games against Palace, the most recent win, was a 4-0 smashing when the two sides met earlier this season. Whilst Thomas Tuchel’s men copped a lot of heat from last week’s loss, however in the overall scheme it’s a small blimp. Chelsea had been undefeated in the ten games leading up to last week’s loss, so there shouldn’t be too many concerns for Chelsea.
Crystal Palace’s defence has been woeful this season, conceding 48 goals this season - the fifth most in the Premier League. This clash will be very similar to the corresponding fixture earlier this season, expect plenty of Chelsea goals against an ordinary Palace defence. Chelsea to comfortably get back on the winners list.
Tottenham vs Manchester United

Manchester United travels away to face Tottenham, looking to redeem themselves after a horror 6-1 loss to Spurs earlier in the season. Spurs once again failed to see out a game, conceding an 85th minute late equaliser against Newcastle last week. The draw proved to be a massive missed opportunity for Tottenham, who would’ve moved into fourth on the Premier League table with a win. Manchester United once again found a way to come from behind last week, defeating Brighton 2-1, with Mason Greenwood scoring the winner.
The Red Devils have continued to grind out results this season, coming into the clash with three wins in a row. United would’ve had this match in their sights since that dreadful loss earlier in the season, the Red Devils will be out to send a statement. United were unbeaten in their last three games against Spurs before that 6-1 loss, so they have had some good form against Tottenham. Marcus Rashford (3 goals in his last 4 games vs Spurs) and Bruno Fernandes (2 goals in his last 2 games vs Spurs) have good records against Tottenham, and will be set to create plenty of opportunities for United.
Tottenham have just one win from their last three games, whilst United have had a perfect record in that time. After being embarrassed by Spurs back earlier in the season, you can expect to see a Manchester United outfit with a point to prove.
Brighton vs Everton
Tuesday 5:15am AEST, American Express Stadium
Despite facing off against the sixteenth placed Brighton, the Toffees remarkably come into the match as the outsiders. A three game winless run seems to have the bookies off Everton. Brighton have won two of their last three games, however for an Everton side that is aiming to play in Europe next season, this is a must win game against a side languishing near the bottom of the Premier League table. Everton has won its last two encounters against Brighton, and has won four of their last six Premier League games against the Seagulls.
What should give Everton big confidence coming into this fixture, is that their two biggest goal threats in James Rodriguez and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, have done well against Brighton in recent times. James scored a brace in the Toffee’s 4-2 win against Brighton earlier in the season, while Calvert-Lewin has netted two goals in his last three appearances against Brighton. Although Everton are in a lean run of form at the moment, there’s a massive gap in quality between the two sides, you only need to look at the table to see that.
The Toffees have a lot to play for with the logjam of teams between eighth and fourth fighting to qualify for European football next season. Everton won’t have any troubles getting past Brighton in this one, they provide excellent value in this clash.
