After one of the most unusual seasons in history, the AFL returns in 2021 with the hopes of returning to a somewhat "normal" season. 2020 was a challenge for all players and officials due to Covid-19, but rather incredibly, the abbreviated season was completed out of secure hubs around the country, with the Gabba hosting the Grand Final that saw Richmond conquer the football world once again as they defeated Geelong to win yet another premiership.
The Tiger army will again be out in force in 2021, with the home of playing some matches in front of their footy-starved fans in Melbourne this season. Fingers crossed!
Richmond are the warm favourites in the 2021 AFL Premiership Odds betting with Ladbrokes offering a price of $4.00 for the Tigers to win again. The usual contenders of Geelong ($5.50), West Coast ($8.00) and Brisbane ($8.00) are on the next lines of betting.
The Western Bulldogs ($13) and St.Kilda ($17) may be the improvers this season, while Essendon may offer some value at odds of $67 in 2021.
The outsiders include Gold Coast ($81), Adelaide ($101) and North Melbourne ($151) who are expected to struggle again this season.
