Horse Racing Tips - Saturday January 30th
Caulfield Race 1
We have been with the Prince/Kent runner (3) Sensationalisation this preparation which has seen the Written Tycoon filly win or place in each start. Still yet to be out of the top three, she was pretty unlucky last start not to have won. She jumped smartly but was headed placing her in a pocket. She only saw clean running late, and while she had some chance, she was overcome by the better Bella Tiara. Today she’ll drop in behind the leaders on the outside and won’t require luck to get clear running. Michael Walker keeps the ride.
The threat comes in the form of (3) Verspertine who comes out of the same race. She ran well and can also improve. (1) Miss Divine Em is always in contention, and despite the heavier weight (offset by Campbell Rawiller) will again be around the mark and also tough to beat.

Caulfield Race 3
Another runner we have persisted with is (3) Hasseltoff who was pretty unlucky last start. Similar story of woe as Sensationalisation, locked in a pocket for much of the running. Jamie Kah sticks with him, and we do too. With even luck he is going to be tough to beat—and let’s hope Kah learnt her lesson in riding him into rump steak.
(2) Upswing is forming a nice little record and can be in the mix today. While the one at big odds is (1) Five Kingdom, who has already placed in BM84 grade and looks overs at $26.00, worth a spec.

Caulfield Race 4
You don’t want to take the odds, but (2) Enthaar is the best bet on the program. At Winx-like odds, the Blue Diamond favourite has shown bags of class in her single start and jump-outs. She won the Gimcrack Stakes with a foot in the air, and finds a small field here today which she can presumably repeat that performance. One for the multiples.
The field is too small and the prices are too short to find one at odds for a place, so there is no value to be found.
Rosehill Race 7
The highlight at Rosehill is the Expressway Stakes. I am a huge fan of (5) Savatiano and she has filled by punting account many times! She goes great first-up and has the services of High Bowman. Personally, Bowman given the right ride is still a quality jockey, but he rides all horses like they are the best in the race, and today he gets that horse. He gets the perfect inside draw and will jump in front. Look for him to slow them down and force them to chase over the final stages. The one that may fight for the lead is (7) Mizzy but Bowman won’t want to get into a two horse battle and burn her chances.
(2) Star Of The Seas also goes great fresh, and appears the main threat to the favourite. She’ll be in behind them and will be in the finish. If the track deteriorates to Heavy she comes right into favouritism. While it stays as Soft, Savatiano has the slight advantage.
