Match Prediction
This will be the 2nd game in two days between the Thunder and Strikers after the two faced off on Sunday afternoon. The Strikers batted first on Sunday and made 6/159 after a rounded team performance that all of the top five make between 22 and 31 runs.
The Strikers followed it up with a strong bowling effort, taking seven wickets as they kept the Thunder to just 153 runs, winning the game by 6. The Strikers currently sit in third place on the table while the Thunder sit one point behind in fourth. The game is super important for both teams as a loss could see them bounced from the top five while a win for either would secure a finals berth.
With so much on the line for both sides, it’s pretty tough to get a read on this game especially after their game on Sunday went right down to the wire. The Strikers have had some big inclusions over the course of the season, with the likes of Alex Carey and most recently Travis Head coming back into the side which have strengthened their side massively, however, we’ve seen over the course of the year how difficult it is for teams to win both games in these back to back fixtures.
The Thunder will have learned a lot from their defeat on Sunday and they have slightly more to play for on Monday as they sit a point behind the Strikers and a loss could mean disaster for their finals hopes. We like the Thunder to win this one in a close game in the betting market.
Strikers Prop Bet
Alex Carey has been monumental over the last month or so of BBL10 games. In his last eight games, the wicket-keeper has racked up scores of 82, 31, 24, 42, 21, 1, 101 and 29 off just 23 balls on Sunday against the Thunder. The century he scored against the Heat on Thursday was the first of the BBL10 season and it came off just 62 balls.
Carey has a great record against the Thunder as well, accumulating 229 runs across seven innings at an average of 38.17 while he also averages 39.00 at Adelaide Oval, where the game will be played on Monday night. Back him to top the Strikers runscorers at good odds.

Thunder Prop Bet
Usman Khawaja has been on the praecipes of something big on multiple occasions throughout the season so far but is yet to break through for a big score. Despite failing to make a half-century so far this season, he still sits in 15th place on the runscorers list, due to his eight scores of 20+.
He was the Thunder’s top runscorer with 36 in the loss to the Strikers on Sunday and he has an absolutely dominant record against the Strikers in his BBL career. In five games against Adelaide, Khawaja has belted 197 runs at an average of 49.25 as well as averaging a massive 62.67 at Adelaide Oval. Back him to top the runscorers for the Thunder once again on Monday.
