We head back to the MCG as the competition-leading Sydney Sixers take on the struggling Hobart Hurricanes in a match where both sides will look to bounce back from losses.
The Sixers suffered a massive loss to the Thunder on Friday Night where they conceded the highest BBL total in history and could never recover. It was an uncharacteristic performance from a side who have looked so good for most of the tournament.
The Hurricanes also come into this after being beaten comfortably at the hands of the Perth Scorchers. Hobart have now lost four of their last five matches and need to lift if they are to be any chance against Sydney tonight.

Match Prediction
The Sixers are going to be hard to beat tonight as they look to bounce back from a really bad loss to their cross-town rivals the other night. They come up against a Hurricanes team who have been in shocking form, losing four of their last five and haven’t looked like firing a shot lately.
The return of skipper Moises Henriques was a huge boost for the Sixers and he picked up where he left off the other night, top scoring with 56 off 35. The Sixers might also have all-rounder Sean Abbott returning which would be another massive addition for the top of the table side. The Sixers have been lacking a little bit of composure and experience in their bowling, something that Abbott brings in spades.
The Hurricanes form has been poor recently and the finals are now starting to look out of reach for the men in purple. With that being said, there is still a chance they can sneak into the finals with a win here but it looks an uphill battle coming up against the strongest team in the competition.
While The Sixers conceded a massive 232 runs against the Thunder, they still scored 180 runs in reply which saw most of their batsmen all get starts. The signs are good for the Sixers as they look to extend their lead on the rest of the competition and I am confident they will bounce back.
Sydney Sixers Prop Bet
I touched on the return of Moises Henriques for the Sixers and he came back with a bang against the Thunder the other night. Henriques looked as good as anyone on his way to a half century before being given out caught behind in a questionable decision.
The skipper has been in good form with the bat in all competitions throughout the Summer and I am confident he can continue this in a crucial match as his side look to regain some form before the finals. There will obviously need to be a few early wickets for the skipper to get his chance but at the price on offer this looks as good a chance as any.

Hobart Hurricanes Prop Bet
We are spoilt for choice with strong batting options in this Hurricanes side. With a top four that reads Short, Wade, McDermott and Malan there is no shortage of firepower for the ‘canes. Matt Wade made his return from test duty on Friday Night where he could only manage a single figure score.
I don’t think you can keep a player of Wade’s class down for long and he has a great record in the Big Bash. I am confident Wade can get amongst the runs here as he will be depserate to help his team move within striking distance of the finals.
Wade will get first crack at the top of the order and if he can see out a few early overs we all know the damage he can do later on in the innings.
