Match Prediction
This looks set to be a blockbuster matchup between two sides that will feature at the pointy end of the season. The Sixers face the tough challenge of playing two games in consecutive days, but if there’s a team that has the depth and experience to handle this challenge, it’s the Sixers. Led by Josh Philippe and Daniel Hughes, the Sixers top order has set a platform for the likes of Dan Christian and Carlos Brathwaite to cash in at the end of the innings.
The Strikers have been prone to top order collapses this season, they’ve lost two wickets in three of their six matches, whilst they’ve only gotten through a powerplay without losing a wicket once. The Sixers bowling attack will like their chances against the hit and miss opening partnership of Phil Salt and Jake Weatherald, who will give them an opportunity to get into the middle order early.
The Sixers have won their past five matches against the Strikers, dating all the way back to 2017. The Sixers are averaging 181 runs per game across their first five games, the Strikers are yet to score more than 165 runs in a match this season. The Sixers comfortably accounted for the Strikers earlier this season, expect a similar result here as the Sixers continue their rich vein of form.
Strikers Prop Bet
While Phil Salt and Jake Weatherald have been hit and miss so far this season, Alex Carey has been a rock at number four. In four games Carey has scored 161 runs at an average of 40, including knocks of 55 and 82. Carey’s ability to keep the runs ticking over without taking a risk is crucial for the Strikers, especially when batting behind openers like Salt and Weatherald.
Carey has also had some success against the Sixers, with scores of 83, 29 and 32 in his past five matches against Sydney. With the inconsistency of the top order, Carey is a solid choice as the Strikers top run scorer.

Sixers Prop Bet
Jordan Silk has shown plenty of glimpses in the middle order for the Sixers this season. He’s gotten starts in most games this season including knocks of 45 and 31 in his last four games. Silk looks set for a big score.
Silk has scored 159 runs in five innings against the Strikers, the third most of any Sixers player. Silk has two half centuries in his five innings against Adelaide. His ability to pace an innings through the middle of the order compliments the other batsmen in the Sixers lineup very well. Silk is an excellent value choice as the Sixers top run scorer.
