Blues vs Bulls (Friday 5.35pm AEDT)
The Blues season is all but over as they sit stranded on the bottom of the New Zealand conference whilst the Bulls travel to Auckland with everything to play for. They are sitting tied on the top of their conference and they can’t afford a loss to the lowly-placed Blues. The Bulls have only won once in Auckland but I expect them to improve that record this weekend.
TIP: Bulls -1.5 @ $1.92 with Sportsbet
Reds vs Rebels (Friday 7.40pm AEDT)
Similar to the earlier match on Friday night, the away team has everything to play for as the Rebels are sitting in a good position to challenge for a finals berth. Whereas the Reds are on the bottom of the Australian conference and will only be playing for pride for the remainder of the season. The Rebels have improved on their performances every week and despite only winning once at Suncorp before, I think they will come away with a win.
TIP: Rebels – 2.5 @ $1.92 with Sportsbet
Hurricanes vs Chiefs (Saturday 5.35pm AEDT)
The Hurricanes are sitting miles ahead of the rest of the pack as their nearest rival is the Chiefs who are 10 points behind. The Canes have still only suffered the one loss all season and despite coming up against a strong opponent, I don’t think they will suffer another loss this weekend. The Chiefs are still trying to come to terms with the loss of Aaron Cruden and they won’t be able to overcome the loss against a strong Hurricanes outfit.
TIP: Hurricanes -3.5 @ $1.92 with Palmerbet
Waratahs vs Sharks (Saturday 7.40pm AEDT)
The Waratahs were woeful last week as they suffered their second loss to the Force this year and are the only side in the competition to lose to them. The Tahs will need to be switched on this weekend as they take on the Sharks who will be desperate for a victory to cling onto their slim hopes of making finals. Unfortunately for the South African side, their efforts won’t be enough.
TIP: Waratahs 1-12 @ $2.45 with Luxbet
Lions vs Brumbies (Sunday 1.05am AEDT)
The Lions have proved to be one of the most impressive and surprising sides in this year’s Super Rugby competition. They continued their upset victories last week with a win over the Highlanders and they will be looking to push into a wildcard position with a win over the Australian conference leaders the Brumbies. They are coming off a hard fought loss to the Stormers last week and they will be out for vengeance as they should be frustrated as they cost themselves the match by missing a conversion from an easily kickable position.
TIP: Brumbies 1-10 @ $3.00 with Ladbrokes
Cheetahs vs Highlanders (Sunday 3.05am AEDT)
The Cheetahs season is all but over whilst the Highlanders have everything to play for as they lost their strong position on the ladder with a loss against the Lions last week. The Highlanders can’t afford to have two losses in a row against South African opponents and will be looking to head home with a win under their belts.
TIP: Highlanders -4 @ $1.92 with Luxbet
